I love this program. But, the problem I have is the international records. One, it’s a separate program from the USA program. And 2, the Mexico records are in Spanish. I don’t speak Spanish and I sure can’t read it. That’s a big issue. It’s frustrating.

New Layout

I absolutely love using the Ancestry app and use it almost every day. However, this new layout is making it more difficult for me since I’m so used to the usual layout. If they could go back to the previous layout that would help tremendously

I have been using Ancestry on my iPad through multiple changes in format and frankly I am getting really tired with your efforts to change formats because major efforts to “improve” the app have once again screwed me up. The latest trees have lost shading and are impossible for me to read. I have pages where the type face is so large that the data cannot be read on one page and I can’t find where to reduce size of type. I can find the previous format by ignoring the short cut and going directly back to typing in ancestry.com but for how long. I hate your simplistic telling of life stories which often are very inaccurate and don’t follow the complexity of factual data, I would like to turn them all off with one button. I have too many names in my main tree to correct your inaccuracies one by one. And items in your data bases are often transcribed inaccurately and I see no effort to make major corrections or completions. You seem to think that a data base reference that for example identifies a person as being baptised in St Mary’s, England is an adequate locator. How about a village/town/city/county designation. Then there is the quality of your data base search engines which do not appear to have been updated at all. If my tree identifies a person as born in 1760 I do not expect any further search of that person to give me a list of possible entries that lists that individual marrying in 1910 or dying in 1890. Now the range of your data bases is exceptional and deserves 5 stars but your incessant tinkering with format bells and whistles and the sloppiness in transcription and the precision of your search engine results explains my low rating. That said I still find Ancestry useful but you could do so much better.

Billed even after canceling my free subscription! Said there must have been an issue and nothing they could do.

Lacking...

Earlyriser

Definitely lacking features/capabilities of desktop version. Okay for quick reference.

New Format 30 Oct

Clean format is better

Great, helpful resource, BUT the latest formatting update (functionality) is rubbish. The new look is fine, BUT the update, NOT an improvement, created unnecessary challenges for editing family info, enabled big thumb typing errors, etc.

Love the New Update

6Klub

Cleaner, sleeker, and manageable. This latest update feels more intuitive and matches the power of the desktop version. Been waiting on this one for a while and glad to see it.

New Visual Design Screen

SOOO....DISAOPINTED

Creators, HATE HATE HATE what was created. The newly design screen is horrible, not at all appealing! Please restore it the way it was, or provide your users with the option of different presentation styles like you have the internet. Disappointed User

New app appearance leaves something to be desired

I love Ancestry. BUT, imagine my surprise when I opened the app today and discovered that the color scheme had changed from dark to light. Tried it, didn’t like it, so I tried to change it back. No way to change it back. Contacted Ancestry (good customer service), which informed me that I needed to change my iPad setting from light to dark. But I don’t want to change my iPad - just the Ancestry app. They referred the matter to someone else, who emailed me and told me the same thing (again, good customer service). I have no problem with the customer service-just with the developers. Why on earth would you change the app to make it harder on one’s eyes, and then not provide an option to change it back?! Not happy!!

The new version is not as easy to use as prior version - want to go back to previous version
