I literally never write reviews but I felt I had to for this. I love Ancestry.com and have been using it daily for at least the last month. I downloaded the app to have for when I didn’t want to or couldn’t be on my laptop. There are some aspects of it I actually enjoy more than the web browser experience, however two big issues - 1) that “Family Tree” hints don’t seem to be accessible on a profile (unless I’m missing something and 2) it has been having major issues in the last week with getting stuck on loading or saving screens and having the message “we’re sorry, ancestry doesn’t seem to be working right now” or whatever popping up constantly. I’m not sure what all these bugs are about but it’s getting to the point tonight that I can’t even use it. I hope they release a new update soon that helps!
This app is amazing! I don’t know why, it just is. But a few months ago, an idea popped in mind. What if we could add pets? It would kind of be weird, but I think it would add to the “family” in family tree. Because once you get a pet, it’s kind of in the family. A pretty weird idea, but I thought it would add to the app.
I can’t believe the information about my forefathers. It blows me away. Can’t wait to dig further and deeper.
The app has been on the decline for months now. It runs very very slow and constantly shuts down.
I called ancestry to tell them that they made a mistake putting my son-in-law‘s name instead of my nephew who is my blood.I just don’t understand how they could make that mistake. On my family tree yes my grandson’s right there his name Keenan.… Not Harold.
The app doesn’t provide access to Family trees which the website does. The search results on the app seem to be less accurate than the website
I was surprised to see how little info I got with my DNA analysis. Then I saw that you have to pay $20 more to see those results. I hate negative surprises. Tell me up front what the deal is.
This app is so good ! I found a lot of stuff out I definitely recommend
