Great app, not-so-great update

I absolutely love this app. I’ve made a family tree of over 7,000 people, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. It’s so interesting to find out these things about my family and I love that this app gives me the opportunity to do so. As for the recent update... it’s not my favorite. They completely neglected some of the app’s prominent bugs and focused their efforts on making it aesthetically pleasing. As great as the app is, there are some glitches that definitely need fixing. An aesthetic change is not what this app needs. Besides, I prefer the way it looked earlier. If you haven’t tried this app out I would definitely recommend, you do get some bonuses if you pay for a subscription but you can still get a lot of enjoyment out of it without paying. It’s a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend trying it out, but some of these bugs really need fixing.

What have you done to a perfectly fine app??!!?? I used the app on my iPhone every day. But now the screen is so Blindingly White that it’s hard to read and I can’t focus after only a few minutes on the app. I shouldn’t have to set my Entire Phone to “Dark Mode” just to make the ancestry app somewhat useable. But then you also changed the fonts size to HUGE. I can no longer see the last names of individuals on Hints pages or listings. Simply garbage. I can’t change my iphones font settings to Small or I won’t be able to read my other app screens. How about you roll back to pre-update version so those folks with vision problems can continue to use the mobile app????

The newest version is slow. Why would you remove the DNA match portion? Now I have to flip back and forth between two apps.

Photos are tiny and hard to identify. Background should have been left the way it was. Some improvements in other areas however. PLEASE go back to the old layout!

Ancestry used to be good, because the background, You can change photo image, look on records. But when this update got up. I was disappointed. The photo images are small. Day and night cycles hurt my eyes. You cannot change profile picture without adding picture, AND I CAN’T ADD A PICTURE! And also I’m switching to a new app, called FamilySearchTree. I hope you see this! Bye!

I used it years before on my iPad and would always end up on my computer desktop. Now it seems to be easier and I do most everything on my app. Im on here even More Wish The app almost daily.

Why the WHITE background?

The color change on the Ancestry App was a bad decision. You cannot change the color like you can on the full site. This needs to be corrected ASAP. And I do not want to change my IPAD settings from light to dark. No excuses.

Family Tree individual profiles don’t open in 12.0.1

Most of the update seems fine but there is a big problem: while I can view my family tree as before, I can no longer tap on a person’s profile to see the information and documentation for that individual. This has stopped my work dead in its tracks. Please fix this major bug ASAP!
