I got the Yale key and Amazon camera combo on Amazon prime day this past July. The idea is great in theory, but falls apart in practice due to two VERY simple problems. 1) the Yale lock is extremely weak compared to other electronic bolts and jams CONSTANTLY. If you’re without a key when this happens, then you’re also out of luck. The manual lock and app are both worthless when a jam occurs, and there is no other way in other than a key, which you might not have because you have an electric door code. 2) every time I lock the door, the app sends me an alert saying the door was locked, immediately followed by another that says the door is unlocked. When you open the app to check the status of the lock, you can’t tell if it’s really locked or not, and if you look on the cameras you won’t be able to tell either (unless your camera is positioned very close to the lock). All in all, these two things are MAJOR issues that need to be fixed for the lock and camera duo to even fulfill its most basic functions.

This app version throws push message even when the lock in locked states It’s throwing more than 10 msg every hour says locked I have run my home in work to see what’s going on I didn’t expect this from Amazon looks like still not have bug free product
Needs to work with Household accounts

My partner and I have two separate Amazon accounts that are tied together as an Amazon Household. For some reason, the app only allows me to manage the door and see the camera. I'm also the only one who's packages can be delivered inside the door. Naturally she wants to get rid of it. What's the point of having this system if it only works for one of us?

I love being able to set up an Impromptu Guest with a code and then change it when they are done. I would like it if my wife could sign to check the videos and change the code or create a new guest when needed.

I never usually write reviews but, my experience with Amazon Key was HORRIBLE to say the least. When I first used the app it was easy/convenient, my package was delivered on time and everything was fine. I didn’t realize that this was set up a my preferred delivery method. I placed about EIGHT more orders and only received ONE. Every single one of these orders I had received a notice from amazon that it would be coming late. Finally when I spoke to customer service about this they claimed that all my packages were lost!!! This was clearly an issue solely with amazon key because I had received other orders I placed through amazon but on my doorstep and NOT with amazon key. I will NEVER use this app again.
Good app with limited functionality
Create name!
The app works great, but it would be nice if you could have your lock set to unlock/unlock when you are within a certain proximity of the door like the August lock and others. It would also be great if you could give people access to unlock the door through the app opposed to them needing to enter a combo at the door.

I I’m trying to set up and link myQ account and it says to tap ALLOW But yet there is no where on the page, even when I scroll down, that says Allow. ?????
Notifications need tuning

Key+MyQ Garage should not notify me every time the garage opens - that’s what the myQ app is for. Key should only notify me when an Amazon delivery opens and closes my garage. This bug has forced me to turn off all notifications from Key which is not what I want...
