I lost my progress...

Bean716

I really love using this app. However, when I switch between this app and another, this app closes out and I lose my progress during a run. Extremely annoying, because I had to start that run day over.

Mileage

As I do love this app I just wish there was a way to track your mileage on it without running another app.

Physique Athlete Turned Runner

Beardb

30 years old, male, generally fit in terms of muscle mass since I have lifted since I was 14 years old and was a multi-sport athlete growing up but was, however, never a distance runner. Prior to using this app, I hadn’t run much over 1 mile consecutively. Since using the app, I’ve been able to run about 4 miles consecutively and am currently on week 10 of the training program. With the frequency and volume of running, I’ve had to significantly change my lifting/weight training for my legs and reduce overall weight training volume for recovery purposes which is to be expected. Although I have found this program challenging, I have found with a willful attitude to push beyond perceived limits, it can be done. It wasn’t until the 2nd workout in week 9 that I felt unable to complete a run. I am in week 10 now and have decided to reduce runs down to 2 per week instead of 3. I think for someone who isn’t accustomed to running and who is also trying to maintain some sort of strength and hypertrophy routine in the gym that it’s just too much running in weeks 9+ to weight train 4 days per week and run 3 days. I am sure the lifting could be further adjusted, but I love weight training and don’t want to sacrifice it further. I have worked diligently to not lose muscular progress as I have competed a couple of times in amateur bodybuilding and physique competitions. I will say that like any other physical feat, you must get proper rest, hydration, and nutrition. If you are going to follow this program, take it seriously, and you will succeed. The app itself is pretty clean, even the ads, so I have found it helpful, and it has simplified my journey of running and made welcoming the challenge a bit easier. Hope this review helps!

Disappointing Ads

Mattie19

I love this app and have used it several times over the last few years, even recommending it to my kids. However, I was recently disappointed to see an ad for vape pens showing up at the end of my workout. Why would a health app support advertising something so unhealthy? I will discontinue using this app if I continue to see ads of this nature.

Disappointed to see ads for Vapes upon completion of training

LLJackson

I used the C25K program, and loved it. I am just starting with the 10K program, and I was anticipating that it would be great too. But I was very disappointed, at the end of my first session, to see an ad for vaping. This app is approved for ages four years old and up, so this type of ad is completely inappropriate. Additionally, I think it’s just import taste to advertise a Vape and people are using to try to improve their health. The fact that 10K is advertising the Vape, Is likely to apply to a smoker looking to get healthier, that a Vape is a healthier alternative to smoking. It is not healthy to Vape. Now I cannot let my children use this app. I look forward to 10 K removing the inappropriate Vape ads so that I can change my review to reflect my true feelings for the program.

Ad support from vape companies

Apparently this company is willing to entice you to jeopardize your health for filling their pockets. After receiving post workout “rewards” which are advertisements for Vuse Alto vape pens, I will look for another app to use.

A great app

67runner

A friend and I decided to run a 10K. I haven’t ran for years and being older, the thought of getting ready, seemed overwhelming; knowing the dedication, the hard work it takes to work up running a little over 6 miles . My friend found this app to get her ready and told me. I tried it for the first time yesterday, so impressed, because it is giving the person the pace you need to start. Often when one starts, you overdo in the beginning, taking days to recover. This app indicates when to run, when to walk. I am excited knowing one more 10K will take place with the help of this app-pacing me.

Drains battery

*megs*

I like the app fine, but have been noticing it is using my battery in the background when it’s open even if I’m not using it...for HOURS after I’ve stopped using it. I do not allow this app to use location services & I have background app refresh turned off. I wish there was a better way to manage the ‘background’ activity or turn it off altogether.

Constantly crashes mid run

Constantly crashes because it’s over run with ads. It’s restarted my workout 3x now
