Needs improvement

***victoria***

First the app functions for ease of use. But it needs a tablet/iPad specific app. And on phone and tablet while watching already recorded video, I am unable to view it in landscape, only portrait. So, the video is just as small almost as watching it in the camera itself, which is pointless.

Problems watching videos on iPhone X

Jeanneres

Hi I'm an YI 4k+ and I have problems when I tried to see videos on my iPhone X, when I try to forward or rewind the video I'm unable to do because of the iPhone screen is large and the video play button and the length video bar is near to the switch app on iPhone X. They made the app just for regular iPhone with home button.

Why is my app crashing all of sudden???

Darling Jo

It will connect to the camera then after it says linked it crashes! This is absolutely frustrating because this is how I’m able to see my videos and download them to my phone. Please fix this problem because it’s obviously the app having issues all of sudden. I haven’t had problems with connecting the app to my phone to use the camera through my phone. So that’s why it’s a 3 Star right now.

Sad about the update

leesha.hoops

This app worked okay for a while, a few glitches here and there, but since the latest update I haven’t been able to link to my camera. I would connect to the WiFi, and it would say “linking” and then the screen would go black and the app closes. Please fix this, I really want to get the footage on my phone!!

Terrible app

Keep quitting....

Why convert slow motion videos to 30 frames?

tarush_kodaker

It defeats the purpose of importing 120 and 240 fps videos for iMovie editing. I can do that with my Go Pro Hero 4 Silver. Please fix :(

Complaints

First of all I don’t write reviews. I’m only writing this because people are having issues pairing the camera to be phone and viewing is on the phone. It gives you directions on how to set it up. Connect with it through WiFi open the app and follow instructions. It prompts you to turn off the cellular assist through the cellular menu and turn off access and it works. And the clarity is just of that of a GoPro (had one and got rid of it because I never used it) and I purchased the lite. Can’t wait to try this out.

Decent but limited

Drallamekard

I don’t really care for the use of WiFi to connect to the camera, since you can only have one WiFi connection going at a time; Bluetooth would have been better. But this is probably a limitation of the camera, not the app. There are also some limitations that are probably part of the firmware, like not being able to select any interval for a time lapse (why 1, 2, and 5 sec but no possibility for 3 or 4, for instance). The app is a pretty convenient way to control the camera at least, especially from a second, unused phone that you don’t use for phone things.

No bueno

Just like there camera it doesn’t do a very good job. The electronic stabilization failed on the camera YI won’t back its 12 month warranty so buy beware!
