Perhaps I had a bad first experience with this service, but I am very disappointed with Xoom. I chose to use Xoom after doing some research because they claim their wire transfers from one bank account to another are instantaneous. It said that it should take no longer than 30 minutes to receive the money. However, it is currently 5 days later and I have not gotten a dime of what I transferred. I had called twice. Both times they told me it should take 1-3 business days and that they could not do anything. Why advertise as instantaneous money transfer when it actually takes a week!! If I had known this I would have chosen a different service. Very misleading and disappointing.

Try other alternatives which provide similar price at faster pace. It used to be good not anymore.

Initial versions of the app was quick, simple and the transaction get deposited quickly but nowadays the quality and pace of transaction has reduced and the app is mostly on maintainence mode.

Sent money overseas due to a family emergency and still haven’t been able to get the money even when Xoom confirmed the money was available to be picked up 4 days prior. Can’t even get in contact with customer service because they are not available. STAY AWAY ‼️
