Doom works when others fail.

Traveling internationally in Oct 2020, is daunting at best. Then trying to send a small money gift to the States via Xoom, which is attached to my PayPal account, was denied even though PayPal for many years is attached to my USA WellsFargo 20yr old account(s). After being on hold 15 minutes with two Xoom reps. First by a barely understandable Customer Rep who claimed to be in California, which I was later told isn’t so, they’re based in ElSalvador. Even though my identity is confirmed via Wells and PayPal, Xoom wanted GET THIS: A copy of my bank statement, and copy of a USA issued driver’s license or a USA passport AND copy of a recent utility bill statement. I immediately cancelled this “Xoom” app. Within 10 minutes I was enrolled with Western Union on line, charged $5.99 on my Wells debit card and funds were available for my friend to pickup in the USA all within 20 minutes! Xoom isn’t fully equipped to do business, in my experience. Horrible experience.

I have been using this app from past 4 years now for sending money overseas. Before it used to send me instantly with in one day. But now it takes your money use it for 5 days and then send it. It takes the fees of $5 and debit the money from your account. Still it takes 5 days to transfer the funds Bz they way to use your money before they send it. Please rethink before using this app.

Tuvieron un problema en la verificación de mi correo, y debido a eso tarde 2 horas por teléfono, para que me dijieran que ya no podia usar el servicio. Me parece que ellos deberían solucionar problemas y no evitarlos. Lastima a los que creía que era en mejor servicio de envío de dinero. Les recomiendo la App de REMITLY. (Para envíos eficientes y mayor seguridad) Pesima experiencia
