Hoped the ads would leave

My husband and I have used this app for more than a year now. However, he is not a strong smartphone user and is easily irritated by anything that goes wrong. This, once the ads started popping up, I decided not to upgrade his version of the app. Unfortunately, I finally upgraded his iOS and then the app stopped working well. It tracked, but he couldn't get it to show history. I told him that the upgrade was probably not compatible with the older app, so I could upgrade the app but then he will see ads. I know for certain he will hate them, and will probably inadvertently click on one. Since he was already frustrated, he figured he would try it, but I fear that after tomorrow, he won't be using this app anymore. Can't we get a non-ad version, please???

Love the idea, but buggy

Title says it all. It is buggy and keeps closing every time I try to reopen it. Also was trying to update the info on my dogs and it wasn't saving it. I ended up having to delete it and download a new copy, all of my walk data, over 730 miles, gone. The only thing that saved when I used the same email was the dog's names. They need to make it so the data saves as long as you use the same email. Also, inconsistent in tracking miles, on occasion would shut down and not track our whole walk. Hopefully these bugs get fixed so I don't have to look for a new app for this purpose.

I have been very happy with this app. It is a terrific cause, and any time I have asked a question or reported a problem the developers have been quick to respond and address all issues. They seem very dedicated to constantly improving the app. I highly recommend it.

I love the idea of this app but I constantly have to check it while I am using it because it shuts off and I have to continue turning it back on. Frustrating

Great concept; Needs work

I wanted to like this app, I really did --- but it needs work. This app doesn't work for the way I walk my dogs. I take them to the dog park, and we hang out there, walking around the park for half hour or so, and then I walk back. The app closes and doesn't resume when I start walking again. The 20 minute upper limit on the pause is not enough. And sometimes when I try to use the app, l hit start walking and it just doesn't work. So, it's a good concept, but it needs a little polishing.

I've used this app a couple of times, but I'm curious about how much my walking is contributing. The only thing their site will tell you is that the more people are walking for a particular shelter/rescue the more they would benefit. I just wish they'd state an amount, like how many miles equal a dollar? I like the idea of contributing to my shelter just by doing something I do anyways, but I'd still like to know how much it's helping.

I would have given a 5, I love this app and what it stands for. I am an avid dog walker and my dogs walk 5 to 6 times a day as they are large dogs and need the exercise. But lately I am only able to log my walking distance 2 times a day the other time the app shuts itself off and no movement/distance is recorded. Please have tech support Check into this. I have been telling all my friends, co workers and bloggers about how great this cause is and really would hate to tell them it doesn't work properly.

I want to like this app, but...

It works less often than it actually works. I of course have my iPhone in my pocket. If the phone accidentally locks the screen, the app pauses on its own and rarely completes the entire walk. Very frustrating. I'm walking 4 dogs at a time so I don't look at the phone while walking. The app should work regardless of whether or not the screen is locked. Great idea, very poor execution.
