Good concept, crappy app

I love the concept but it's getting to the point that it's no longer worth using the app. 3/4 of the time the app will crash without me realizing it, so I've not only wasted data while it was working but I also lose the info on my route and pace.

Are they really making donations?

I'm curious because the shelter I walk for hasn't received a dime. Where's the money even coming from if they are? It's a great thought but I'd like to know if this is legitimate. Also, like others have said, it stops tracking if you stop which is annoying because if you don't know it stopped and you keep walking, miles aren't being recorded. I understand if it was based on time but it's not, it's based on mileage and a gps isn't going to say you walked when you didn't so there's no need to stop it.

I wouldn't use this if it wasn't for a good cause. It's annoying that it must be open in order to work, and I wish I could select "use location only when app is open" rather than allowing constant access to my location. Crashes frequently, and says "no movement detected" often, resulting in a LOT of walks that aren't tracked.

I have been using this app for a couple of years. I have never experienced any of the technical difficulties described by others. Yes, there are more ads and pop ups but I hope that means more contributions to my Humane Society. Bottom line, I really like this app. I use it to track all my dog walks.

I use a manual pedometer and another fitness app that tracks my waking distance. This app always shows less distance for the same walk ( yes, I start and stop them all at the same time). And not just a little difference - about a half mile difference for every 2-3 miles walked. I don't really care for myself, but this shorts my rescue group of the donation amount it should receive.

I've been using for years and have loved it. Walking to donate money to the shelter I adopted my dog from. We are daily walkers, I have 2 labs who need exercise and won't let you go a day without walking them. So I love knowing the time and distance. But just recently I only have issues. If I stop moving for just a second it stops recording. This is a dog walking app, dogs pee, poop, and sniff. So after an hour and half walk to find out it only recorded a minute is frustrating. 5 times now I guess it's time to delete and find a different app.

Such a great concept! In need of fixing, though!

All the problems below I have had. Plus, this needs to have an Apple Watch app add-on! The idea behind this app is SO great, all they need is a good programmer to de-bug and update it. Dog walkers helping dogs...a great concept!

Doesn't donate

This app gives you no notification that it actually donates. I used it for several years before deleting because there is nothing to monitor how much money you are earning and that they actually ever donate on your behalf. If you look into it, it sounds like bogus advertising so just go with another tracking app that doesn't lie about what it does.
