Every time I attempt to register the add shuts down and closes. I am unable to use this app on my iPhone.

Crashes when trying to input phone number

HPDSgtJDS

I’ve tried installing multiple times but during the set up process when you enter the phone number it always crashes after I enter several digits. Only reason it gets a 1 star is because it won’t let me give it 0

Cannot create an account

jules8912

I downloaded this a few days ago. I have tried to create an account and every time I do it closes out of the app. This is the only way I can connect with some people and I would appreciate if you can fix this bug ASAP! If not I will see about downloading another app and communicating with them that way. If I can ever create an account I will give a better rating.

Privacy what?

SomeoneQuiteAnnoyed

Why do I have to add my email? I already have a freaking account. Literally no way for me to log into my existing account without adding an email and password.

Works flawless

I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are on about. I've never had an issue with wire in the past year both on desktop and mobile.

Love it but please up the account limit!

deenawinchester

I just started using this app as a fun way to message “in character” with the characters I write with my friends. So far, I’m loving the ability to customize the appearance of each account and have more than one logged in at once. It’s such a clean interface with no intrusive ads, and pretty easy to get the hang of. I’m having so much fun with it. However, PLEASE up the 3 account limit! I would love to add more accounts rather than be limited to 3 at once without having to log out (and lose all of my conversations.) Having no limit to accounts (or at the very least a higher limit than 3), would be extremely helpful and I would likely keep using this app indefinitely.

Good app, but major security flaws

Realview1

This is a nice, well-designed app, but unfortunately it has major security flaws. Wire keeps logs of any contact you’ve ever contacted saved on their servers forever. Even your account password is insecurely handled. Security auditor CrySP noted: “The Wire client authenticates with a central server in order to provide user presence information. (Wire does not attempt to hide metadata, other than the central server promising not to log very much information.) The Wire whitepapers spend an unusual amount of space discussing the engineering details of this part of the protocol. However, the method of authentication is the same as it is on the web: the Wire client sends the unencrypted, unhashed password to the central server over TLS, the server hashes the plaintext password with scrypt, and the hash is compared to the hash stored by the server. This process leaks the user's password to the central server; the server operators (or anyone who compromises the server) could log all of the plaintext passwords as users authenticate.” I don’t know why an app that is allegedly security-focused leaves such huge compromises to basic account security.

Stopped working with new Iphone update

Once I got updated- app simply stopped working, can't make calls and can't receive messages

Audio message doesn't work from android to iOS

messagerguy

Like that it's open source e2e and independently continuously audited. However the voice message sent from android won't play in iOS that's a big issue. Now days that is issue should be a show stopper. The issues has being reported almost half year ago and it is still not addressed. It is what is preventing me to give the app a higher rating. Good for e2e text otherwise.
