Broken "update"

My plugs worked now they don't, stop forcing updates on things that work.
V1 switch CONSTANTLY disconnecting from WiFi

I have 3 of the v1 switches. It’s constantly disconnecting from the WEMO service or my WiFi. Often the WEMO app will show it’s not reachable. Very unstable.

This used to not require a login, now it is forcing one. This change in data privacy and they’re holding the hardware I purchased hostage. Avoid.

I used to like these wemo plugs and app - but it truthfully gets worse and worse over time. It is an incredibly buggy system and constantly fails to connect. I don’t have problems with any other smart device - just wemo. I truly regret purchasing this brand. I will not be purchasing wemo devices of any kind after what I’ve experienced
Wemo bridge firmware update process

The firmware update process for a wemo bridge on an iPhone, using wemo app and Homekit is broken and confusing. I’m running the latest iOS 14.4 and latest wemo app from the App Store. I was told by the Apple home app that the wemo bridge has an update available. The wemo app doesn’t actually add the wemo bridge to the app to do a firmware update on and the wemo app doesn’t say anything needs firmware updates when I have the wemo app check. An odd solution is that at some point over night the wemo bridge has updated itself (v1.2.6) or the Apple home app doesn’t tell me the wemo bridge needs an update anymore.
Logs you out all the time!!

I’ve been logged out multiple times. It won’t save your password. So you have to reset it every time. It forgets devices consistently. I feel like I have wasted hundreds of dollars on these stupid plugs. Don’t waste your money.

Long-time user with over 15 WeMo switches and plugs throughout our house. Wasn’t happy when they switched to the account requirement, but now it’s absolutely ridiculous when every other day, the app requires me to sign in again. Beyond frustrated.

These switches are the absolute worst! If your WiFi ever goes out good luck getting them to work again. Don’t waste your time and money! Nothing but an irritation. I will manually turn the light on thanks anyway.
Stop logging me out

Decent app except the constant update notifications and the forced log outs. If your gonna force logouts, should at least implement easier authentication like Face ID.
