When you out of town and check it, it doesn’t show and only keep looking for device

App will not recognize its own devices.

I have about 8 wemo device and have only successfully connect to one wemo mini. I have been trying since 12/25/17. I am only trying to connect to one device at a time. I’ve checked on line support have they want you to jump through hoops resetting router settings and the app still does not connect to the wemo devices.

I want to like the Wemo app, however, it’s extremely buggy. It freezes on my iPhoneX constantly. I’ve already removed and reinstalled. I have 11 devices. Sometimes pressing a button on one hangs forever. I’m on the same wifi network as all my wemo devices. It was fine when I had only a few, but the more I add the worse it gets. Belkin needs to fix this. Also, customer service is atrocious.

I've had this WeMo for 5 years with no issues whatsoever! If your gone most nights and want something to take care of turning a interior or porch light on/off, then this will solve your problem. Works great, from anywhere. It's dependable and worry free. Just set it and forget it! You won't be disappointed!

WeMo switches in WeMo app cannot be used for multiple households we’re smart plugs are used. There is no way to have a smart plug at a lake house for example and your primary residence using the WeMo switches. This problem has been in existence since at least 2014 and Belkin refuses to fix it or create a work around. For example, a second app that could be used on a single device to control switches in different locations may work. WeMo #1 and WeMo #2

Had the worst time after moving getting this bundle to work again. I followed an awesome tutorial on question-defense and finally got it going. Works as described now. It’s all about the factory reset and forgetting prior WiFi connections.

I love this app. I can maintain lamps as well as televisions throughout our home simply by clicking an icon on this app. Keep up the good work!

App doesn't work over WiFi

I really want this app and the devices it controls to work. I have a number of light switches, one outlet switch and one motion detector. When my phone is on LTE I can see and control my devices most of the time, but when I'm connected via my home WiFi network I rarely can. Very, very frustrating especially after spending hundreds of dollars on these devices. I expect more from a company as large as Belkin.

Does not fail to disappoint

The app just gets worse. The spinning wheel pops up immediately after opening the app so you can’t use it until it finishes thinking. After that There is only a 30sec window to use the app before it freezes for no apparent reason and is totally unresponsive. Why does the app need to connect to the internet to be useful especially when the same WiFi network. It should be able to connect directly to the wemo device.
