Never can connect when not on wifi

I haven't been able to connect via regular cell internet 4g for months now and the "customer support" wasn't able to help.

After using for more than 4 years smarthings, I've decided to try some new for my home. I've purchased wemo switches and at the beginning everything was working well. Wemo switches are installed in my house in another country out of the states. When I came to USA I was managing everything fine, but after 3 days, the devices connected wasn't discovered on wemo app. I tried to fix this, but I couldn't. I call wemo customer support and they told me that the only way to fixe it, was connecting my phone to the same network that wemo switches are connected. At this time is not possible for me to do this. So that's why I'm giving this review to wemo. The application needs more improvements.

Did I have issues when i first set it up, yes but now I am a pro by just reading simple troubleshooting directions online. I have my whole apartment set up and it's so convenient especially when I go away on trips setting up the rules. I have had mine three years and won't be without it.

Best home automation device I have added to our home. Can set lights on timers, can add to Amazon Echo and group the lights or turn lights on/off from anywhere right on smart phone. Has worked flawlessly since install. Can be pricey so I bought over a period of several months. Highly recommend! Update: having had switches for about a year now they can fall off WiFi periodically. It’s easy to reset them but when you have ten switches it gets a little annoying.
Beware of the Bridge.

9 Wemos running rock solid. Added the new Wemo Bridge. Siri control worked for about six hours, now the Wemos can’t find the network. Offshore tech support suggests power cycling. Been there, done that. No fix at this time.

Love my Wemo light switch’s. My wife and I were in Europe for 2 weeks, no problem turning on lights from there. ?
When it works, it is OK, but...

...when it doesn’t it is horrible. The answer is always to reset all your devices and start over from the beginning. This isn’t a problem with the devices, they are solid and continue to work with other integrations like Alexa. It is just this app is horrible. It reeks of expense optimizing bean counters.

We love the Wemo app. Especially being able to turn the outside lights on. We’ve hooked up indoor lights and front and rear outside lights. So easy to install. We recently went on vacation and this app gave us so much peace of mind, knowing we could turn the lights on and off to give the appearance of someone being home. Definitely I recommend it.
Don’t even think to buy WEMO

Have this thing about 2 month. Nothing but trouble . Resetting all the time . Internet great , speed 150 MB’s , router 5 ft from switch . Stay away ....
