Having tried to use the app before, this newest version is MUCH improved. Being able to toggle between recipes and grocery items is convenient.
Could the app do this?

Would like to eliminate items from my list. Not able to do it. Would also be nice to zoom in on picture of items. Would help with items new to me that I might want to purchase.

I stopped using the app a while ago after the big update. Went back again hoping they’d finally listen to people and fix but still disappointing. 1) the list used to organize items by when you’d come across them in the store. It tries now but some are so wrong. 2) some items are totally in the wrong aisle. Garlic bread is listed in the beer shop?? 3) sharing your list used to be great. The name of the item would be there as well as the picture that’s in the app. This is great when you’re emailing it to somebody else who may not know what exactly the item looks like. Now it just lists the items and no text. I still don’t understand how such a great company who’s app was great to begin with decided to update it and downgrade features. It’s been a while and still no fixes is really disappointing. Another big frustration - my Wegmans now uses the scan app so I can scan items as I go. It’s great - but is a totally separate app. Wegman’s why would you not combine these 2?!? I don’t want to switch back and forth between the 2 to look at a list and scan. It needs to be integrated into 1 app.
Good app but glitches

I have been ordering on the app for 6 months. It usually works really well but have had some glitches for 3 weeks with rating and adding more tip to Instacart delivery people after groceries delivered. I called Wegmans and still not fixed. I feel bad for the Instacart people who are missing out.

Ridiculous up charge on food!

Most items have a $1+ up charge if you want to shop via the app. Sad that you would charge seniors and those with health issues SO much more just to do contactless shopping.

I’ve been using the Wegmans app for years—even prior to the Instacart integration. The one thing that I don’t like is that previously in stock items will completely disappear from my grocery list if they become temporarily out-of-stock before my list is shopped. This affects customers like myself who create an ongoing list days before submitting it to a shopper. It would be helpful to alert the customer that the item is temporarily out-of-stock rather than just removing the item from the list altogether because customers (like myself) don’t always notice that items are missing from their original list. Please consider adding a design feature that clearly highlights the now out-of-stock item—perhaps fade out the item so that it can still be seen, but also add a watermark on it that says, “temporarily out-of-stock. This would alert customers that their list has changed due to certain items now out-of-stock. Plus, it would give customers an opportunity to check again to see if the item has now been restocked, or an opportunity to choose a replacement item before submitting their final list.

I live closer to the Perinton store than the Newark store but I am not able to change stores. I must order through the Newark store because of my zip code. It wouldn’t matter except the quality of food as well as the selection of foods at the Newark store is terrible and that is not an exaggeration. Every employee I talk to agrees. This is especially important when you are handicapped. I have also called and it just falls on deaf ears. Very discouraging when you are forced to eat low quality food or starve.
