I order my groceries exclusively online from various grocery stores. But the Wegman’s app is so user friendly that it makes me order more often from them. Forget to clip a digital coupon? A reminder pops up before you checkout! Need an idea on an item to go with a specific product? Great suggestions listed below. Hey Wegman IT department, y’all rock!

I am now seeing the message “Pasted from Safari” when opening Wegmans app. Why is the app pasting things from Safari??

I’ve been using the wegmans app consistently since Mar 2020, and it has been a life saver for my sanity. It is so easy to place grocery orders and use curbside pickup.
Things keep disappearing from our list

This has steadily gone from my favorite app bar none to being a dog. This week it was upgraded with “improvements”. Also without a weeks worth of additions they cleared out for roll out the improvements. Fortunately I remembered some of them, unfortunately, I didn’t remember all of them. Whenever I go into the store to use it I have to stand there waiting for it to connect (“Still cooking...”). It is slow at everything. Little conveniences keep disappearing. Why can’t the “add to list” button be on the first page? For example: when I search for and add an item, I now have to manually clear that item from the search bar before I can add another; I used to be able to clear all checked items (leaving the items that were out of stock on the list for next time), now I can clear the whole list or delete items (manually). Then there are the missed opportunities like if I want to buy a pomegranate, I can filter by name or “ relevance”, but not department. Pages of pomegranate lipstick, no actual fruit. I previously wrote the search engine is so bad I can’t get a complete list. But it seems the problem is it is too good— I believe that why stuff disappears. We like plain deli cream cheese. I went to add it to the list for the next trip, it’s not there. It seems that out of stock items are no longer shown to add to the list. Veggie and lox deli cream cheese are available, but not plain. I can add one of those as a “ placeholder” and buy plain when I am there. But I don’t plan to shop until next week, so if veggie goes out of stock in the meanwhile, I think cream cheese goes off my list. If that isn’t why it disappeared, what other bug did it? We are going back to a paper list that I might put into this app right before I shop. This is ridiculous. Do you people alpha test these “improvements”? Have you tried the old app (that customers were satisfied with)? Have you taken a workshop in design based thinking?
search needs help with spelling errors

Search can use a little tuning to handle spelling errors, either offer the correct spelling or include all items close to correct spelling. I accidentally forgot the extra m in hummus and search only showed one item. Once i fixed my spelling error the remaining products were displayed.

This app has allowed me to shop from home during a hectic time. But I wish there was a way to request items I get in the store that do not show up online.

One thing that would improve ordering is if I could enlarge a photo of an item. This way I could be sure I’m getting the correct item.

I love the Wegmans app because everything I need to shop for and prepare meals is right at my fingertips! Recipes, products, menu ideas and the shopping list is right there. Then there is curbside pickup, which truly has added time and joy to my life! It’s all so easy to use too. That’s why I’m a devoted Wegmans customer!
