New update made things worse

807OGGWEST

Careful what you update to!!! One day I can perfectly check temperature (so I thought) and the next I’m forced to update. Now I have 4 shoulders on the smoker and one is reading 160 while fresh on and the other spiked at 465 just as fresh. Both should be about 65 after sitting out all night.... now I can’t event trust the ambient probe. Going to have to run to Target to get some good ol analog probes for today. I can’t believe the troubles Weber is creating with this app. I can’t trust any of these probes or thermometer anymore after today. Time to find a new digital thermometer. Fed up with all of these bugs.

Bad App

Tim70124

Before Weber took over the iGrill app I really liked it, but now it is extremely annoying. Setting the temperatures is cumbersome and not intuitive. If the app has an update it will NOT let you use the app unless you install the update. The iGrill is a great device but the app ruins the experience.

Says I need to update the app however...

Wildstyle

No update is available and I’m locked out of using the app, one star until resolved. But 99% of the time 5 out of 5.

Login to save presets now?

I don’t want to login but I want to save presets. Not possible anymore

Overall great, but needs a timer/alarm

Ivan0310

The app and the device work well and I've had few issues with it if at all. I've figured out after some trial and error the way to get the best results with our beef filets. Firstly, it seems the doneness settings are a bit over zealous for this cut of meat. I have to consistently choose a doneness one step below desired. That works pretty well. The one thing I wish it had was the ability to set alarms based on specific temperatures. For instance, at about halfway through, I want to turn the steak, but all I can do is just monitor the temp on my own. I'd like to have the ability to set a custom alarm to tell me when in case I get distracted with other parts of my cook.

Updates are buggy

Solomon 7545885558885477

This app is great when it works, annoying af when it doesn’t. Updates are rarely better than the last. Bug requires update when there isn’t one available, and app is non functional. Had to reinstall. New bug: alarms will not exit out or cancel, disabling the app. Had to reinstall again. Also, beeping on physical unit can not be turned off. Very annoying to everyone including neighbors.

Multiple notifications at same time

Always crashes....always.

Battery problems

drowningingreenjello

Works great but you have to take the batteries out after finishing getting every time or it will drain them by the next time you grill. I've gone through three batteries up to this point in a couple months... But other than that, super useful

Such a needy app

Tom Timson

Oh I guess I won’t grill today. Why? Because my thermometer refuses to work until I update the app. Oh well, guess I’ll leave another 1 star review for this version. Previous review: Why does this app nag me about turning on notifications EVERY. SINGLE. FREAKING. TIME. I open the app? Isn’t that against the App Store guidelines? I have notifications turned off for a reason. Just more scummy behavior from Webber since they purchased iGrill.

Not working after latest update

S&LsMom

Was a phenomenal app, however after last update whenever a notification appears at the bottom of the screen that a probe is reaching target temp, app completely freezes for 5 or 10 seconds and then crashes.
