The first few uses of this device were excellent. Afterwards, it would temp absolutely absurd tempts and was useless as a result. I check for hours on support articles, which were not that help, and FAQs. In the end, the only answer was to mail it for service... not worth the trouble, I filed it away in my garbage can.

I am on my second one now. the first was purchased before Weber took over and it work as expected. The new one will not connect to my droid or iPhone . Keeps saying Bluetooth must be in enabled. Well it is and trued uninstalling app restarting phones and nothing. Now it’s no different than an instant read since I have to go to it to check. Funny how big companies buy out the upstarts and screw it up to make margins higher

Don’t buy. I used it 3x since I got it this summer. Went to monitor the turkey for Thanksgiving and as soon as I plugged it in it was reading 280 even though I hadn’t started cooking yet. Tried reinstalling battery and restarting the app, but continues to read high. Always stored it in the kitchen when not using and used probe holder when not in use. Very frustrating!

I had and used igrill often then we had to get rid of our smoker and it sat on the shelf for a little while… Got a new smoker for Christmas and was excited to use my igrill again and found out that after Weber took this over it does not work with the igrill. To say that I’m frustrated would be an understatement… Very disappointed as I now have a brick that I paid a lot of money for

After I’m done grilling, I get notifications that the sensor has been turned off. These notifications are annoying and happen for days after I stop cooking.

I’ve been using this app for awhile now. It works great with my iPad and iPhone. It also works well with my Apple Watch 5. One thing I wish the developer would add is the ability to use the app as a “Complication” on the watch. Then I could have all of my cooking related apps on one “face”.

I guess I just have to say make sure you down load the right Weber app for your Bluetooth and make sure you replace the battery’s. After that this thing is an absolute champ I choose the cut of meat or set the temp and walk away. Most Bluetooth enabled devices can make your life challenging but this one is super easy once set up. Weber I recommend putting QRC codes linked to set up and trouble shooting video super inexpensive and can get the user rolling faster.
