I will never pay for this stupid app

i hardly use weheartit anymore because pinterest is superior in every way. but i learned that they’re watermarking pictures now?? they do not own these pictures. in fact, i have my OWN copyrighted photographs on this app that i uploaded years ago. does that mean that weheartit is slapping their watermarks on my pictures? it sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen… other than that the app itself is literally unusable. i’ve been trying to get on there recently to find an old picture i saved but nothing is loading and it’s not my wifi because all my other apps load perfectly fine.

i used WHI for years. mostly i would use it to make edits and i liked it more than pinterest at the time because if had more of selection of pictures i was looking for, and there weren’t ads. now everywhere you go in the app there’s an ad. you can’t even download a picture without there being a watermark. they tried to make the situation better by adding 10 more watermark free downloads a day which is beyond dumb. everyone is just going to turn to pinterest or screenshot it. there’s also all these premium updates you can get for basically worthless stuff, but anything to make them money right? they don’t care about making the app enjoyable for people anymore, they care about the money. save your time and frustration and just use pinterest

i’ve had this app for years and i can’t spend more than 5-10 mins on it now because it’s unbearable. ever since they started adding caps on photos you can save, and ads every 5 seconds after clicking any button on the app, it feels like one of those annoying sites with pop-up viruses more than an app. i don’t even like people’s photos anymore because it’ll run an ad. just a really obnoxious way to run an app — i think they want people to stop using it because no one has the patience to watch so many advertisements (??)

This app was so much better 7-8 years ago. Now there’s tons of adds. Watermarks on pictures they don’t even own & now for the cherry on top a subscription. What a joke.

i'm one of the older users on WHI and have used this app since the beginning. i remember it being a lot smoother, less ads, no subscription or pesky watermarks to deal with, and most importantly: it didn't crash every 5 minutes. i recently started using the app again and found myself appalled by this new subscription feature and the watermark thing on every photo makes NO sense to me whatsoever-- these photos are supposed to be for inspiration, and now they have this tacky, ugly watermark attached to it? it isn't like WHI owns the photos. so i don't understand the point of the watermark besides it just being a pointless incentive to purchase the new subscription, which is just so unnecessary to me. there are other apps to get photos/inspiration from without having to pay for a subscription, or i can just get the photos off of google. honestly, i am considering doing that anyways considering how often this app lags, freezes, and crashes. it also loads images extremely slow compared to other apps of a similar calibur. i have yet to go 5 minutes using the app without running into some sort of issue that forces me to close out of the app completely. overall, i think i'm going to be looking for another app for inspiration very soon. things are looking bleak for WHI, and nothing seems to be getting fixed-- just more unnecessary features being implemented that make it less user-friendly. it just seems like shameless begging for money at this point. until this changes, or, if nothing else, at least until the bugs/glitches get fixed, i will not be using this app moving forward. very disappointed with the work done on this app. as i have mentioned before, i used it routinely around 3 years ago and ran into no issues. i'm pretty upset that such drastic changes were made to an app that didn't need to be changed to begin with.
