I’ve had this app for over 4 years and i’ve loved it but the ads become too much sometimes. They have currently been removing some of my favorite stories which I feel is wrong because wattpad is supposed to be a place to express ourselves and we can’t express ourselves if content is getting taken down. Wattpad authors out so much time and effort into their books for them to get taken down? please reupload the books.

Y’all had no business pairing up with webtoon?. THEIR STUFF IS KINDA LIKE WATTPAD THEY HAVE MATURE THEMES AS WELL. Y’all are trying to expand and that’s great like no one is saying not to, but please don’t delete stories. Many people enjoy those 18+ written novels (myself included??‍♀️) I literally love you guys for making this app so pleaseee keep the stories all just there. You guys could have erased one right now that I might have liked but wouldn’t even know existed because it’s not there and that doesn’t sit right with me. Take this into consideration please and thank you.

I just wrote two chapters to a story. I went to delete the ones I didn’t want cuz they were old and when I selected the two, it deleted the ones I just wrote and published instead and I don’t know why. Please help me get them back please I spent so long writing a version I liked and now they’re gone. I don’t understand why it deleted the ones I didn’t select. It did that a moment before as well, because I selected one chapter to delete and I realized it was still there but a different one was gone. I tried again and that was the worst mistake ever. Please is there a way to get it back? I don’t want to write the entire thing over again after I spent days editing and making sure it’s good. Please.

The creators of these stories take time out of their day to write new chapters. As a writer myself planning on writing stories with smut but scared to because of the stories you are deleting. You are taking down many stories that people are wanting to read but you are taking down before they get a chance to read them. SO PLEASE STOP DELETING THE STORIES THAT ARE MATURE OR HAVE SMUT!!!!

This app has paid stories with explicit content and then proceeds to take down SEVERAL books for explicit content, (specifically in the Harry Potter fandom). Its honestly disappointing how the app very obviously only cares about money. Please listen to readers when they say they want their favorite books back, readers aren’t going to like the app anymore if you guys keep doing this.

Personally I think what you’re doing is wrong. There specifically is a 17+ age restriction on the app, so why are you going to take down mature books if this is an adult app? There are trigger warnings and mature warnings on some books, no one is forcing people to read them.

stop trying to censor everything. all the writers put warnings before the story starts and before every chapter, if needed. it is the readers that should take responsibility if they do not like what they read, it should not be taken out on the authors. the readers had the precautions beforehand but CHOSE to ignore them or take them seriously then CHOSE to go and read ahead. its disappointing that these writers books are being taken down after they work so hard on them because readers disregard thetrigger warnings and then get mad at the story. many people rely on stories like the ones you take down when they are going through things and its not fair that ignorant people ruin it for everyone else. people are going to stop reading on your app. send a message out to everyone on Wattpad and let the authors put their stories back up so they can be appreciated. thank you

I genuinely loved this app. It was always fun to read cool and interesting stories that completely captivated me and had me not putting my phone down until i figured out what was going to happen next. It was always fun to find new and upcoming authors just trying to find a community to write with. Follow along with their stories and see how they grow. Everything was free to read so the possibilities were endless to find books. And there is so much more that i use to love. But as of late I don’t know what you are doing wattpad but it honestly isn’t helping it’s making things worse. Wattpad doesn’t need to be better it was a great app and an amazing place to be. But whatever the creators are trying to make it now is not working for anyone. I truly and sincerely am sad about the amount of books and fanfics that have been deleted and removed from wattpad in only a days time. Honestly my review should be lower at this point. I hope wattpad that this review tells you to STOP doing whatever you are doing. Stop trying to change the community. Leave us be! We were all fine before you came in deciding what was good for only you nobody agreed with this. PLEASE STOPPP! My review for this app USE to be a 5 stars hands down! And maybe one day if I get the old wattpad back it’ll go back to 5 stars but for now 2 and less is my rating. Don’t download this app right now until wattpad gets it together.

so wattpad has been deleting so many books recently and I’m just curious as in why please stop you’re dying the app and people are thinking about moving to a different app
