the app’s completely changed in the years i’ve used it, but the stories have stayed just as bad as they were in the past. nostalgia at its finest.

I’ve had this app for, say, around 2 years now, though I started by using it on my laptop and Chromebook or searching up the link on Safari. Just let me tell you something. It’s AMAZING. There are all sorts of books on there- fanfiction, non-fiction, normal fiction, sci-fi, realistic, on and on and on. It’s beautiful. I only just started writing- even though I’m starting hesitantly, and with paper and pen- but just the reading experience has been enough. There’s a little bit of something for everyone, even though the app is dominated by screaming fangirls: there’s detailed smut (not my thing), happy fluff (so cute!), and whatever “lemon” is (I mean, the fruit’s delicious, but-). But seriously! If you need a place to pour your heart out, or just snuggle up in your bed with your phone and read, this app is the best. It beats all the other sites (Archive of Our Own, Fanfiction.net, etc.) in both content and design, making you feel welcome and supported at every turn. Download this app and make the developers happy, the fandoms happy, and most importantly, YOU happy. See you in the comments section!

The only good thing about this app is that you can pay to get rid of the adds. Unfortunately if you do this you get ripped off by people like Morgan Rice, who post a story split into parts that are cliffhangers but only release the first “part” then the next 7 parts are only samples to help advertise her book. I feel cheated by the idea of paying for and advertisement. This is more of a rip off then the numerous people who just don’t finish their story. Stories should need to be completed before they are allowed to be published…

Wattpad is a platform where you can read and share books. The reason why I like this platform is that you can easily start your career as a writer here. A lot of people wrote books on this app/website and made it to getting it published or being adapted to a movie. You can also share fictions on top of already established fictional worlds. Because it’s easy to write a book and publish it on Wattpad, you can find many interesting stories that can’t be found on traditional publishers. Overall, it’s a great platform for people wanting more fiction and for people who want to try out writing a story or starting a career.

I can’t begin to express how much I enjoy reading on wattpad it’s always fun. I am on it a lot just in one day and I love all the stories on there. Sometimes I wish we could like comments though, like on instagram, some comments are so funny I feel like I should like it so the person commented would know that I enjoyed their comment.
