they’ve been excessively removing stories that have a mature rating without reason. Some drafts are getting deleted as well because of it. Authors work so hard on these stories and the mature tag is there for a reason. It’s so annoying and it’s pissing people off so it needs to change

I love this app but why webtoon and there taking down three good books the the authors work so hard on and that many people like and now people are going to stop using this app because you are taking down books that we like

I think I can speak for many people that have this app, we aren’t very pleased with Wattpad. They are deleting wonderful stories that authors have put there time and swear into for what? To take them down? To stop all of there hard work? You are taking down stories that have trigger warnings in the very beginning of the story. If people still want to keep reading that’s there problem, there were warnings in the beginning. This app placed a button that says ‘mature’ what did you expect when you put that button? For the story to only have a kiss? To have ‘bad words’? This is absurd, let people read what they please. You will lose many people this way as you already are. You are just giving ao3 more publicity since they allow what you don’t. It’s not your place to decide what people should and shouldn’t read. I’m disappointed that this app that I have grown to love is doing this. Please listen to us and stop this madness!

It’s so unfair because in the description it will say mature audience only/18+ or trigger warning and they still take it down like they warned the audience before hand. Like guys stop they are such good stories!!!!?

I love this app so much and the community is so nice, accepting, and entertaining but recently I have been very disappointed with wattpad itself. Many of my favorite stories by some amazing authors have been taken down for little to no reason. Some for “mature content” even though the stories have warnings at the beginnings with age groups and possible triggers about what could be found in the story, yet the stories have been being reported and deleted anyway with no way of being retrieved. This is very painful not only for the readers but for the authors too because a lot of them don’t have their stories backed up. I just hope in the future wattpad can fix the problems and the writers who’s stories have been deleted find a way to get them back because until then I will be taking my reading elsewhere and limiting my time on wattpad.
Deleting Authors hard work

Wattpad has recently been taking down a lot of mature books. This takes away the hard work that the authors have put into these books. I understand they need to take them down if the author doesn’t put a mature warning on the book, but nearly all of them have the warning. Many of these authors find comfort in their comment sections, and now you are going to take away their hard work so suddenly? And some of the authors didn’t even get to keep their work, it’s just deleted! Days upon days they spent writing, some even months! And it’s all gone, Wattpad needs to fix this and I will keep it uninstalled until I hear news that it is fixed, and I encourage you to do the same.

I do really like this app but it is truly horrible that you are deleting people’s hard work like Manacled just because someone didn’t like it the story has trigger warnings and made sure it was mature audience stop discouraging writers and deleting workers of art.
