Don’t get me wrong I love the app, but they are taking down our smutty fics. This is an app for 17+ not children. There is no reason to take down our fanfiction simply cause they have smut. GIVE THEM BACK WATTPAD!!!!

Wattpad is very good! I am more than eager to publish a story here one day! Just one thing: there are times when the app doesn’t save the work that it should save automatically, and I’m left with trying to remember exactly what I wrote. Then there’s the ads, but I can get used to that soon enough. Other than that, great app!

Honestly I am so disappointed in what I’ve heard. Wattpad is my safe place where I feel like I can be whoever I want because other people understand me. But now you are taking down so many wonderful stories that the authors have worked so hard on. You post things like ‘The Wattpad authors put so much hard work into their stories’ but delete the best ones. I’m sorry but if we choose to read the story than why is that your business. Just because Webtoon bought it doesn’t mean it has to be like it. I understand people might not want to read things that have mature context but you shouldn’t take down the whole story because of that. Instead, you can put a warning to let the readers know it might not be something they want to read. But do not just take down stories of people who have spent HOURS and DAYS writing stories. Some people, like me love to write stories for the readers and when you take that ability away from us it makes us feel upset and like all our effort was for nothing. How dare you do this to people. It is a privilege that you guys get so many readers/authors on this app. You are basically getting paid from us just by us going on the app and you are about to get so much less money because people aren’t going to want to be on an app that doesn’t support its audience. Fix this.

wattpad, i’m talking to you. STOP deleting mature fan fictions, that clearly states that it has mature scenes. you have deleted multiple fan fictions that people just adore including me. if you are going to delete fan fics, at least notify the author or just stop with the deleting because you can’t read the trigger warnings or the mature icons that are literally on the book. you are going to loose a ton of business if you keep it up, we are your audience. i gave this a 2 because i do feel like wattpad WAS a great place for people to publish what the would like, but i was wrong. please fix this please.
App is not user-friendly for the author.

Wattpad the site is a great resource. This app, however, is poorly designed and very non-intuitive if you are publishing on it. Navigation tools are buried beneath three levels. You have to sift through chapters to get back to your account and into edit mode, instead of being able to immediately edit the chapter you’re already viewing while logged in. Ditto for adding new material. Comments show up as notifications but then disappear and have to be hunted down. Images do not display properly in read mode on my own stories. And the constant ads and nagging to go premium interrupt the reading experience. Cannot recommend the app. Much better to simply access via your web browser if possible.

Some of my favorite stories got taken down for no reason, stories that i was in the middle of or just started. The stories all had mature content warnings and still got taken down???
