Well informed and balanced snipits of top stories to inform readers that do not overwhelm a brief review of daily news.

Much better!

Two things right away: a better list of top stories and enlargeable pictures.

I Feel Cheated. 100% Disappointed and Dissatisfied.

The iPhone app is missing - in my opinion - a critical feature: “Reading history!” I’m baffled at how such a feature can be available on the Fire Tablet, but not on a phone. Too many times, an important phone call or message interrupts my reading and consumes my attention for a reasonable amount of time. When I finally return to the WP app to pick up where I left off, the app has refreshed and the article I was reading is nowhere to be found. As a paid subscriber, that’s pretty disappointing considering the Apple News app includes this feature for free, and with the ability to sign in to my WP subscription inside the news app, AND the added bonus of other news sources at the tips of my finger, why do I even need your app? Why are you withhold critical features that are present in your other apps. Fix it!

Defective App

After more than 6 years of subscription to TWP digital, repeated contact with TWP help, I still can only access my subscription through starting with The App Store. Only with my iPhone. Not with iMac or iPad. So tired of the back and forth with TWP support.

Washington Post post

It is a very good paper. I originally got it because it liked Jennifer Rubin and Eugene, both columnists..Now I like Jonathan Capehart. He is also almost as good as Mark Shields. (I was raised in a Boston suburb, and my father’s parents were Irish immigrants). Give me a few years and Capehart will be my new favorite. I have watched the Friday night PBS show with Shields since Gergin was on. I liked them. Then, Shields was partnered to a Wall Street Journal editorial writer, named Gigot. He was too partisan, no discussions. I rather disliked him. Then Brooks joined Sheilds, and things returned to an idea exchange, not partisanship and loyalty to party, regardless of Gigot’s foolish justifications. Jonathan Capehart, a Washington Post writer is a terrific balance to a Republican NY Times writer.and both are good at the exchanging of opinions, not t arguing, as Gigot did, when paired with Shields. I still miss Shields, but To have a Washington Post reporter with David Brooks as a regular on PBS, Is great. We, my husband and I reserved Friday nights to stay home , unwind after a week working, and we always watched PBS news, then Washington Post Week in Review. Now we are retired, and we still do that.

Could be better

I receive this subscription every Christmas and although I like the in depth reporting, a lot of the articles come of as one sided. I am disappointed that a newspaper with such an esteemed history can fall into partisan trappings.

A great paper! You don't charge to see print version on line like the NYT does. Much appreciated.

I’m a new user and for the last week I’ve found myself going in circles. I’ve yet to get to read it full article. Im not sure if I will continue my subscription.

A new year for WAPO

Robbedinthedark

I read WAPO daily, and NYT, the guardian, the Atlantic, listen to NPR; I used to read WSJ, I like Spiegel, CN news, nothing in the Middle East, read Moscow Carnegie Int’l for peace and security. The combination of this effort gives me an insight into what is going on in the world and domestically. I stopped reading WSJ; the subscribers are too racist for my taste. The NYT is somewhat similar to WAPO; last year was good for both newspapers. WAPO accepted about 80 % of my comments, the NYT barely 20%. Carnegie no longer accept comments, the comments were too damaging for allied countries in the middle east. I am no longer interested in what they have to say. Comments are extremely important for a large sector of subscribers. WAPO IS SCREENING AND REJECTING MORE COMMENTS. Progressive democrats may decide to create online their own forum and subscriptions for WAPO/NYT may plateau. Forums end up becoming more radicals. There are plenty of good publications waiting for readers. WAPO SHOULD NOT TAKE READERS FOR GRANTED.

Saved story list as pictures is a fail!!

Love the app and the reporting, but why is my list of saved stories now just showing as large pictures plus headline?? It’s awful!! Please bring back the format with a small photo, byline and intro!!! I really hope this is not a peek into the future of the app. I’ve chosen the classic app because of its formatting…
