Why do I see the same articles day after day? I thought I was getting the days paper?

1/9/2022 Reading an article on my computer, the column “Most Read Politics” lists an article that caught my interest, so I clicked the title an got the popup to subscibe/login. Since I’m logged in on the iOS app, I tried looking for that article in which the website showed it in the “Home & Garden” section, but that section is not listed in the Sections listing. So, I search the author”s name and the result is a few old articles. I search using the first sentence of the title plus other words unique to the article results in only food recipes. Hmm, I decide to test the search “feature” (not) and search for “Jamal Simmons”, the new communications director for Vice-President Harris… Result is sports articles! If WaPo is using AI then they should stop because it does not work. I don’t know if Simmons was an athlete, but perhaps the search results stem from his race… People wonder why other ppl are misinformed…voila. Well, Home & Garden is considered “Lifestyle”, which is not obvious to me as the section includes “KidsPost.” The sections listings order differ between the website and the iOS app, so one can”t find articles quickly when moving between platforms. On the website there is NO comics Sections listing, but is a standalone section on the iOS app. All this is a huge disappointment, which will be an issue as to whether I continue my subscription.

News coverage is radically biased towards left/socialist views. My family and many neighbors only subscribe to get the sports news and crossword puzzles. Comment sections to news/comment items only have a thumbs up choice which limits the ability to easily disagree and obviously favors the radicals! I doubt if this review will be posted. Which will only prove the above.

Despite years of reading soccer articles and almost never reading articles about other sports, the WaPo app still presents me with … other sports, and no soccer. Why is that? I can’t find any settings to influence what appears on the sports page.

I have been a digital subscriber for 7 years. Today, I went into the comment section to congratulate the reporting team on a fantastic article that had been published. Imagine my surprise when I saw that there was a message stating that I am banned for commenting for some unknown reason (apparently I’ve broken a rule but there’s no information on what rule). The message ENCOuRAGED me to reach out if I thought this happened in error. I used this app in an attempt to seek to understand what happened (I’ve never been banned ever from an online community) and I received an automated message that stated that they receive too many requests on this topic and won’t be responding to me. I can’t recall when I’ve ever been treated so poorly. I’m not going to threaten to cancel my subscription. It’s already been done. My recommendations for your app: 1. If a comment submitted by the subscriber breaks a rule, notify them through the app. 2. If it’s a first time issue, remove the ability to comment for x time. 3. Remove the message (regarding that you are unable to comment because you violated our terms and you can contact us here). It is not misleading - it’s straight up lying.

One of your opinion writers criticized Sotomayor For “over shooting” statement that 100k children are hospitalized when the actual number was 82k plus is that a Fox News move?

Horrible. Have a valid subscription that works on the website but the app refuses to stay signed in after repeats attempts. Cancelling my subscription.
