The app no longer works it was the only thing i could use to rewind and fast forward whatever i was streaming but now that feature doesn’t work at all


What purpose does having BLE on have?

The app is great except for the incessant prompt to turn on Bluetooth unnecessarily. If BLE isn’t on you will get a never ending pop up telling you to turn it on and will only go away by pressing the “settings” button in the pop up. What’s funny is if you have the widget on the Today screen, you have basic functionality even without Bluetooth being turned on.


It won’t ever let me set up my devices.

I have 2 SmartCast TVs and a SmartCast soundbar. I have gotten the TVs both set up through the Google Home app, but have never been able to properly setup my soundbar with SmartCast through any app. I have tried all of the troubleshooting tips and have called Vizio multiple times to try to get this to work. I’m tired and frustrated and really regretting my purchase.

I lost my remote so I was happy to use this app, but I can’t even press the select button or swipe, it just doesn’t work. I can’t go on my account on Hulu and Netflix because I can’t select it

Absolutely useless app. At least in my case. I have vizio 5.2.1 soundbar. The app works just okay only at the time of a setup. Later when you use it it won’t recognize the soundbar you have already set up saying there is a “connection failure”, when wifi and bluetooth are on so does the soundbar. Tried resetting and adding it again-same story every time. Developers just don’t put enough time in to make it work. Why would you keep broken product on the app market, just go ahead and delete it if you stopped supporting it correctly, which is misleading.

Have had the viz m 50” for 6mo. Seems the app works randomly to be able to turn the tv on and off. Zero consistency. Never an issue w roku. All apps and tv up to date now on iOS 14 on one device 13 on two others. None can turn the tv on. Buy a roku not a Vizio !!!!!

I’m leaving this for fellow frustrated Vizio owners not you developers. I’ve left several reviews like others have totally frustrated with this apps connectivity issues. I stumbled on this fix, fyi I’m on an iPhone X with iOS 13.6.1: If I slide up from bottom and go into app switcher then bring the app forward again without dismissing it (don’t flick it away and reopen) it connects. Every single time hasn’t failed once. Good luck! ??? Looks like iOS 14.1 broke the app...again. All I get is “connection failure”. Please update! I go back and forth between music, TV, Gaming so being able to control details in audio settings for my Vizio $1k sound bar is a daily use need. I can never have a long period of confidence and reliability with this app. Never! Always one thing or another!
