App not workin

Wont let me change settings for sound bar

Trackpad not working!!!

LeahMaurine

It was going perfect until my iPhone apps trackpad isn’t working throughout most of the apps nor on the main screen of SmartCast cause there is a Halloween Party pop up that says launch app and it won’t go away and my trackpad seems to not be effecting anything. I can only go to YouTube and navigate that app by going straight to that app but everything else is unresponsive with the trackpad!?? I even tried my husbands iPhone and it’s the same problem. I turned our cell phones off mad turned them back on hoping a soft reset would help. I even tried deleting the app and downloading it again and it doesn’t fix the unresponsive trackpad. Can someone help me???

Failure of app

I missed my fav show

Remote

JewelAk47pokerbiznatch

This remote is slow and works only sometimes. Please update. Also, I used to be able to pause shows on this and now I can’t.

Settings won’t change

rae250

This app is seriously frustrating. The one setting I need to change is the lip sync toggle. However it is at the bottom of the screen, which makes it impossible to use without swiping out of the application. PLEASE, please add some padding to the bottom of the settings. Seems like a real device wasn’t used to test.

Always fixing something

Good app wen it works. All updates are to fix problems never for upgrades. now you open the device and you don’t get the remote like it was now is to select the device aaaand thhheeeen remote. It just get worse

Used to be much better - @Vizio what has happened

jensen180

Update: I’m still a fan of Visio but for goodness sake, please fix the Smartcast app and pairing function. I’ve been spending time trying to get my sound bars dialed in with my TVs but they won’t stay paired. In fact, 9/10 times my devices are in need of being paired again... I’d love to switch this to 5 stars. Please hear your customers @Vizio! Old:I consider myself a tech junkie and a savvy diy techie, a bit of a home theater wizard. I make the most of what I’ve got. Lately all of my 4 Vizio TVs just won’t work with this app, services constantly disconnect and I hear “I don’t recognize that device” from my Google Homes waaaaay too often. So my challenge is for Vizio to bring back the passion and love of quality and your customers! We want to love your products but firmware/software lately are ruining your brand. Time to step it up... sincerely - a ten year Vizio fan close to breaking up.

Can’t connect anything to chromecast

LOLMelvyn

After update. App is worthless. Can’t use any of my Visio speakers anymore.

Garbage

Turns off sound leveling overnight. When I turn it back on in the morning, it shuts all of the sound off. I need to restart the system daily. If I use the tv remote, none of this happens.

Broken with Bluetooth requests

Gliding shiv

I don’t know what’s going on that broke the app, but it’s barely useable now. Anytime you open it up you get a pop up saying it wants Bluetooth access to find new devices (even if you’re not trying to connect anything new). You can close it once, and it’s fine. But if you go out of the app and come back the pop up returns. And this time it doesn’t go away. As soon as you hit close it pops back up. It happens so fast you can’t even close or switch out of the app (at least on newer iPhones without a physical button). The only way to get out of the endless requests for Bluetooth permissions is to let it take you to the settings (it takes you to the wrong area by the way) and then open up the app switching menu and close the app from there. So unless you’re just sitting there with your phone awake and on this app, you’ll have to do this whole work around every time you want to open an app or use your phone as a remote. And you know the extra kicker? The app has Bluetooth permission. I gave it Bluetooth permission the first time I used it to connect my TV. It’s literally broken over asking me for something that it already has.
