VidAngel is free iOS app published by VidAngel, Inc

App needs to be updated to fix MAJOR bugs.

I love the service VidAngel provides however, movies will constantly just stop midstream. Sometimes the movie stops all together and I have to start it over. It is not my internet speed causing this. As I’m writing this review, the movie I’m watching just paused on its own due to the error in this app. It is very frustrating and makes me not want to use VidAngel. Please fix these glitches.

I was excited about this service BUT

Bobeechee

I was excited about this service BUT the very first movie that I watched, the language was NOT filtered (although I did filter it). Yep, F-bomb right off the bat. I WILL NOT BE CONTINUING THIS SUBSCRIPTION.

Good concept / poor execution

BgTie

Sat down 2-hours ago to watch Jurassic World via a 4th generation AppleTV. Excellent internet connection. However, both the app via the AppleTV and mobile device is unwatchable. We’ve been able to watch 20-25 minuted because it crashes and freezes constantly.

Great service

The Agoura Imprint

Their service works as advertised. Filter whatever content you find objectionable. Love this app.

Can’t cast to tv with recent update

albslb

Was working great, recent update killed my ability to throw videos to google chrome. App just shuts down when I try to cast. VidAngel said they are aware of problem and working on solution.

No streaming

Richierich40

It will not steam to a google chromecast. Been this way for awhile. Can’t get it to work on any of my streaming devices. This is no good

Nice in theory, but often doesn’t work.

iPhone app won’t stream from Amazon. I like the idea of this service, but their iOS and FireTV apps are really buggy and often don’t work reliably.

Fantastic A must-have for parents and Christians

I love this app so very much... God bless and prosper this business

The only option for having total control over content

Skidude64

The only player in the space for allowing you to eliminate content you don’t want to see or hear in modern entertainment. There are lots of films and shows that aren’t worth saving, but there are some that have great stories but have too much content that you don’t want that isn’t even necessary to the plot. That’s where VidAngel shines. Their filters work incredibly well, and they allow very fine control over the content. I’ve been waiting for years for someone to play in the space of allowing you to filter streaming content, and I think they’ve cracked that nut.

Who knew?

Movingtochina

I have to admit that when I first started using VidAngel in Utah, it was frustrating. It rarely streamed and we just gave up. Fast forward to living in Spokane and switching from Century Link/DirectTV to Xfinity. Somehow it works now...all the time. Many things work better since we switched to Xfinity actually. Sometimes it may start out slow and we realize we have 6 other devices on unnecessarily in the home. Turns a few off and perfection. So, I repent from my complaining VidAngel and say thanks, we love it!
