Love this App

This app is one of the best. I love using the remote part of the app. I always misplace handheld remote and using the app remote always saves the day when I need to turn down the volume on tv my son is watching in his room. I also love keeping up with my tv shows on the go. I very love this app use it everyday.


Crash issue

This app crashes way too much while watching something. It just close down and when you go back to watch the show it starts from beginning of show. So annoying. Also if you are watching something and you pause it for a while when you go back it takes back to beginning of show.

Great concept and potential, and if this app actually functioned as described - it would be great. But it is all hit or miss. Sometimes I can watch live tv on my iPhone or iPad (via the stations that allow it) and sometimes I can’t due to poor signal (even in my own home sitting right next to the WiFi router that has a full signal). Sometimes I can watch a DVR show or a movie on my iDevice and sometimes the constant pauses and errors and resets are too annoying to finish. If all the bugs got worked out, it would be nice. Been waiting for years for that reality, and still waiting...

Rarely does the app work and when it does it crashes constantly. When it does work it is extremely frustrating that only a select few channels are available. Believe the DISH app provides all channels.


DVR % only?! Need hours!!!

The recent update displays % usage only at the top of the DVR screen - that’s practically useless when planing recording space measured in time that varies between HD and SD. Tell me how many hours remaining! You used to before the update and it’s in the DVR menu on the TV. There’s plenty of space in the black bar across the top and no I don’t want to search for in the Set Top Box settings, which is also useless because it gives time used not time left! I don’t care how much I have I care how much before I can’t record any more or my shows start deleting!!!

App constantly freezes and crashes. I’m always getting error messages when trying to watch something either DVR’d or streaming where I have to close the app and restart it. And the new layout with “my stuff” is a definite downgrade from the Old format.

Like most things FIOS, your App is a piece of garbage. It won't store or save any settings, specifically around the names of the various Set-Top boxes we have, or more importantly, the DVR series recording settings. I shouldn't have to change every single setting every single time I use the App. Like I said, piece of garbage. You'd think a company that's valued at $200 BILLION would make products that actually work. Stupid me.

The latest update makes everything more difficult. It takes too many presses to get to the DVR section. The DVR section is a mess. Bad, bad design...sigh.


Too many freezes

If this app didn’t freeze so often or not start up and just closes and won’t reopen. Otherwise I like being able to use the app when someone else ties up my tv.

Update: Feb 8 Nothing has improved, still can't set DVR recordings, still an unreliable app. Verizon support is of no help. _________________ You'd think the "premium" company would have the best of everything but this app still needs work. Currently I'm being told verizon cannot verify my subscription to NBC, FOX, or any channel free or premium. Only this one device isn't working currently. Plus it's got a bad interface and why can't I watch every show on demand yet? Comcast, sad to say, puts Verizon to shame on the app. Getting tired of problems with Verizon. Also mobile app DVR recording doesn't work. Just hangs saying it's setting the recording.
