I love the convenience & simplicity of this app. I hope to be able to use it a lot more in the future.

You’re like a rich oasis after traveling through the desert of despair that is PayPal. Please continue to be awesome! ??

A friend paid me by accident and I paid him back noting “Payment received in error.” I was then contacted by Venmo support via email advising my account was suspended while they investigated. My account was then shut down. I asked for further details and was told that Venmo doesn’t provide any further info on their decisions. So be cautious because even using the app appropriately can apparently get your account shutdown.

Do not use this app unless you want to lose your money! I paid someone without realizing he had 2 accounts. One he can no longer access (forgot his password or whatever), so he started a new account. Why because he’s in his 70s, computer illiterate, and will not ask for help. I notified Venmo, Aida F., that I had mistakenly paid him and my daughter when I only meant to pay my daughter. Don’t know how I added him and I didn’t notice until my finger was hitting pay. Aida F. refused to refund my money even after I explained the situation. Now mind you I’m no spring chicken myself and being debilitated by Multiple Sclerosis and Fibromyalgia makes it difficult to navigate with my hands and fingers. So will happen to my money? Your guess is as good as mine since neither he nor I can retrieve it. The only party who can retrieve it refuses to make things right. So, who you gonna use instead? I recommend: ~ Zelle is great! You get the money immediately- the only thing is both banks must use Zelle for money transfers. The good news is that more and more banks are switching to Zelle. ~ Cash App by Square is good also. That’s what I’ll be using on rare occasions when I can’t use Zelle.
