Pay by phone number fail

I paid someone using their phone number. Turns out, their phone number was associated with a different Venmo account (likely the previous owner of that phone number). But Venmo only informed me of this AFTER I hit Pay, hence, it was already too late. So now I’m stuck trying to get the money back.

Venmo won’t let me link any of my bank accounts or cards and I’ve had numerous problems with this company. My suggestion would be DO NOT use Venmo

My son turned me on to Venmo last week. He sent me a Fathers Day round of golf and a couple beers. I learned how to use it just in time. TY ???⛳️??♂️

This app claims to offer money transfers, however they do not allow you to smoothly transfer your funds from their platform to your bank account. They are currently holding my funds hostage and their representative would not tell me why... The representative could not resolve the issue and would not transfer me to someone who could. As such, I now have to commence a lawsuit against Venmo/PayPal for my funds and all resulting damages. Do yourself a favor and just do online transfers via your bank. This company is simply awful!
