I don’t need/want to see headlines and photos of articles I cannot read as a free user. It’s ok to show 1 or 2 “for subscribers “ teasers but over half of the page is covered by this stuff which is frustrating. You cannot annoy people into buying a subscription.

I used to enjoy this app for all my daily news but now anything substantial requires a subscription so it’s time to delete this app.

If I could give no stars I would! The advertisements have ruined this app. I’m not about to pay for mediocre news delivery. Sudoku has been ruined and I’m removing this app.

Probably need to either pay for a subscription or look elsewhere as the free version is little more than advertisements now. Guess that is the world we live in now :(

Long time reader and app user. Not sure when it happened, but all stories now appear either behind a paywall or some type of virtue signaling. No “news” coverage to speak of. Deleted app and found sources more in line with my “news” delivery expectations.

Really, this problem has been going on far too long, and absolutely no excuse for it. I have sent complaints to USA-Today over and over but to no avail. Not only is there no improvement, but they don’t even bother to answer! Next time it happens, probably in the next couple of days, I’ll just cancel my subscription and delete the app.

I enjoy your online version much more ever since you started charging for a premium subscriber version. I do not subscribe so I don’t get irritated by your racist, biased, sexist duo of Nancy Armour or Christine Brennan. I would pay to avoid those dull shallow bigoted opinions. They probably write what the editor wants so that is why they get published. I’m not interested in your biases, so I only read the sports and they aren’t there on the freebie version. Fantastic
