Rolls way to many doubles favors computer even though the programmer tells you its random

Congratulations, this is a wonderful app I would recommend it to anyone. I would only make one small suggestion, a “hint“ button. It would show you what movie master players would make. This would help beginners learn the game

There are times when there is not a randomness to the game. Every roll for numerous games in a row that the computer seems to roll the exact numbers needed. There is some luck involved but when you can call the exact roll that is upcoming is a little ridiculous. Very frustrating and at times unfair.

This game cheats. If the game rolls a 6 and a 2, it will often move the 2 and then move 8! If a piece is on the bar and gets say a 5 and a 3, it will come in on say the 3 and then move 8. And it’s dice roller is not fair. When have you gotten 3 double 6s in a row when your piece on the bar is blocked for coming in on a 6? Also. The black player gets the opening roll about 90% of the time. Then, when I was blocked I got a 1 and a 3 (which I was blocked from) three times in a row. Not fair!! Very frustrating!! ?

Developer can push popups extolling the integrity of the “randomness” of the dice rolls, however there is no way shape or form that it is not fixed!

An otherwise solid app is now (almost) unplayable. Animation of piece movements & dice rolls are out of sync with sound. Edit: now fixed in 4.35
Now much slower to respond

I just updated.Playing against the computer. Now the response time to roll the dice is much slower even with the fastest speed chosen. There seems to be a delay. Love he game but this is frustrating. Any suggestions? Have rebooted my iPad and everything else works just fine. Thank you for the fix and your quick response. Love the game.

Even in fast mode the game moves slow, seems poorly written. Not as good as the free backgammon games out there.

I loved playing this game when I was in high school and recently found that love again. I’ve downloaded most of the backgammon apps and by far this app is the best. That being said, I believe that the app has a huge problem. The dice favor the computer. Every once in a while a notice comes up about how their algorithm is not in favor of the computer but that is not true. The mere fact that the notice appears shows that too many players believe otherwise. I play a lot and it is too coincidental that the opponent ALWAYS gets the perfect move. I believe the computer lets us win once in a while to make us come back to play but the dice are loaded. ?

It would be one thing if the Dice were fair, but 9 games out of 10 coincidentally the Computer player gets a mad run of doubles at the end. It’s frustrating that you play a safe game and beat the hell out of the computer, and it’s luck could not be better down the stretch. App Deleted.
