Return process woefully cumbersome

Mooflon

A new Tile Mate activated on 9-17-17 stopped working on 11-9-17, within less than two months. Getting an RMA requires searching through their Help screen which then requires going to their website. So far, not a huge deal. But then, if you purchased the tile within a group of four, you are required to return all four of those tiles. So now I have to remove the other three good tiles attached to separate items which means those items are no longer being tracked. Furthermore, the Tile Company will want to ask you some questions when you request an RMA. At this point, it’s not worth your time and not good to disconnect the three good tiles that are still tracking three of your items. Congratulations Tile Company, you’ve managed to thwart most of your customers from returning defective products, assuming that is your aim. Not exactly Amazon elegant.

Needs work

Tiles right next to phone aren’t recognized. By far not working as advertised. Something is wrong when so close and they can’t be located. I own about 8 tiles and a couple pic up good.

I love tile app

Learningtothemax

I was struck with a serious illness and I lose my pills all the time wife arranged for tile in my pill case. It literally saved my life to find my pills after they were lost. Best invention app ever.

Battery Drain, Crashes, Flat Out Doesn’t Work

Wm.

Notes: - background app refresh is OFF on my phone, the app needs to stop nagging about not having background refresh on. - location services is only ever set to “While Using” no matter what app, no matter how much Tile nags me - Tile does not present the button that allows me to activate the noise on the Tile. Can’t even tell you what the name of the button is... only option is “Notify When Found”. - Crash logs on phone show Tile crashes just about every time I try to use the app Overpriced Bluetooth doohickeys with a poorly designed app. Is it really that hard to just give me a “make it bing” button?!? That is literally ALL I want. Open the phone, have *my* phone find the Tile and make it make noise. Basic stuff and it fails.

Saves us so much time!

happy house of teenagers

My family has been using tiles for a few months now. We love the system and it has saved us so much time and aggravation. It's especially helpful when you share the lost tile with others. My son just shared his wallet Tile with me while he was at school. I was at home and found his wallet within 5 minutes under the seat of the car in the driveway! I'm not sure why people say it doesn't work - perhaps they don't understand best how to use it. Between the address, the Bluetooth circle and the ringer, we have many stories of finding lost items in minutes.

Tiles don’t ring my phone

Benjamin9019374

This app is not dependable with the iPhone X. Double clicking my tile doesn’t make my phone ring. I thought my phone was stolen but it was near me, only the double click of the tile wouldn’t work. Not really worth the money if you are expecting it to work as advertised. My phone wasn’t even on silent btw.

Keys found after purse stolen

ShotgunShannon52

My purse was stolen over a year ago. Among the items in my purse for my keys. I recently got a notification from Tile that they had been located. They gave me a map of the general spot and as I got closer, The map got more detailed. I was able to pick up my keys today. Considering a new Acura electronic key cost about $250, I was happy happy happy. I love Tile.

Battery/CPU killer (possibly iOS 11 related)

RobinKeir

After several weeks of dramatically reduced battery life and general poor performance of my phone (iPhone 6+) and many attempts at tuning the system to improve matters I just assumed that my phone had reached the inevitable point where it simply couldn’t keep up any more with the latest operating system, iOS 11. This was somewhat surprising but I resigned to buying a new phone. Then yesterday I took another look at battery usage and saw Tile right up there at the top with 20% background usage!! It was in the list previously but never this high. Right away I disabled background app refresh for Tile and turned off Bluetooth in the Tile app settings. After a day now it’s like I have a new phone again. No more massive battery drain. No sluggishness. I rarely give reviews but I felt I needed to draw attention to this problem. Until the issue is identified and remedied I shall have to keep Tile disabled. I see at least 1 other person with similar issues here.

Constantly making my phone go off

Bostn

I’ve had 2 tiles for almost a year now. 1 slim one in my wallet and another on my keys. A majority of my experience with these devices is accidentally pressing the button on them, making my phone ring regardless wether it is on silent on not. The keys get pressed against the tile while I’m carrying something, or I sit down with my wallet in my back pocket, and then the phone starts ringing when I didn’t want it to. There needs to be a way to disable this. As an Apple Watch owner, this find-my-phone feature is from tile is redundant anyway. I asked Tile on Twitter if there was a way to disable it and they said there is not. That was almost a year ago no and still no word about an update. Until I see that this feature can be disabled I will not be replacing my tiles when I’m the batteries die.

Annoying startup sound

AppTrials

Seriously, is there a way to turn off this annoying sound everytime you start the app? Re: Why dont you submit it yourself. Its your site. Lazy. Reducing to 1-star rating.
