New version doesn’t detect Bluetooth

tennismaestro

Useless app for now. Worked fine until this update. App doesn’t detect that Bluetooth is on and won’t connect to any devices. Terrible.

BIG privacy concerns

Horrible

TheJasonEffect

My Bluetooth is on and it keeps telling me it needs to be enabled. Horrible to track items. Reinstalled app numerous times and upgraded to latest all the time and doesn’t work. I spent money on this crap.

Humiliating.

0xf00f

It is really easy to accidentally press the button and make your phone start making loud noise. The noise can’t be dismissed except by taking the phone out and messing with it. Please, please, please just make another press, or a double tap, or a long press or *something* work to hush it besides taking my jangling phone out during a movie or funeral or whatever. I find your product indispensable but i am looking to your competitors because I am sick of being humiliated by your stupid tile song at inappropriate times.

Love my tile!

Jalee1

I have a friend who lost her house keys at the mall, after four hours of searching we were majorly frustrated! They weren't only house keys, they were key Phobos for her car and her alarm system. Over $450 to replace. The tile system is fantastic! Every person in our family now has one!

App is intermittent at best

1500Contacts

Personal experience with over 10 tiles is that like so much consumer tech the product and the app don't live up to the advertising hype. Mapping location is intermittent and inaccurate at times, and new Tiles must be purchased at the end of the 1-yr non-replaceable battery life. Tile device too large to use for small dog collar tracking. I am not planning on replacing my Tiles at the end-of-life cycle. My recommendation is buy one and try it before you commit to multiple devices and also estimate the cost over 5 years if you plan to keep using your Tile trackers long term. The app won't report properly if Tiles are in range of multiple BT devices even when shared with another user. One one positive side, the Tile internal alert sound is loud enough to hear when looking for a lost item that is within Bluetooth range.

One major annoyance

cmezak

Works pretty well. I use Tile most often to quickly locate my keys when I need to rush out the door. It’s also useful for determining the last place I had them (e.g. the office) so I don’t waste time searching my home for something that’s not there. There’s one major annoyance that has me looking for an alternative to Tile. When the button on a tile is pushed, your phone rings, even if your phone is in silent mode. This is a feature that I’ve never used. But it happens accidentally all the time. My keys will be in my pocket, and if they shift around the wrong way my phone plays an annoying song that I have to turn off. Sometimes this happens during meetings or other inconvenient times. I’ve contacted Tile, and apparently there’s no way to turn the feature off. So the basic functionality is great, but I am equally as often annoyed as assisted by Tile.

iOS 11 still using too much Battery

reddykilowatt77

Updated to newest version last night, Tile still using 61% of my iphone 7 battery, even with background turned off. Not sure what else to do. i reported this 10/6/2017. I worked with Tile for a week or so and Tile agreed there was a problem and they would work on it. Tile has been updated. I have updated Tile and iphone OS. Today, the Tile battery usage for the the past 24 hours is at 62%. I like the Tile, but the app is making be consider other options.
