Like it a lot, esp the feature where your status is updated automatically. Why on earth can I not open Instagram posts that people DM to me though? Not being able to click through to the photo is ridiculous—I shouldn’t have to open Instagram to do that. It should deep link at least!

this app is GREAT! it’s just like messenger but for instagram, i really wanted this, the only problem i have is that you can only use this for close friends, i was hoping for everyone but that’s ok! if you know how to use messenger then you will know how to use threads

Okay so I have lots of friends and I don’t like giving out my personal number and I was looking at messaging apps. Then I found this one, I logged in then I started chatting. I can also add to my story and update my status. Thank you for this app.

I’ve downloaded the app since the day it launch. Although it’s a really neat app it’s lacking features. I tried sending GIF’s and it doesn’t work, i sent voice notes and noticed you can’t skip forward the the recordings. Facebook owns Whatsapp, messenger, instagram, and threads. With all that being said what is the purpose of having 3 MESSAGING apps with different names on them? Why not merged all 3 of then together and make it one messaging app with all the features, options, and customization of all 3? All thought it’s fluid and has some nice colors the most i’d give it is a 3 stars. I’d give Whatsapp and messenger 3 stars as well, adl me why? Well because why the need of 3 messaging apps? They all serve the same purpose “communication” now merge’em until then my stars stay as 3 stars.

Utterly pointless, redundant waste of space

Very much like Facebook to develop yet another app that does the same thing in a slightly different interface. There are no significant features on this app that aren’t in the existing instagram app/DMs, the features like themes and statuses could be brought over to Instagram but it seems like Facebook would rather have an incentive for people to install an app that tracks your location constantly. Don’t enable this feature unless you want Facebook selling your location data to companies.

this app is literally just your dms with a feature that “lets your friends know what you’re doing” that’s about it nothing new to this or different about it.

Is only used to send direct messages to people, completely pointless. I get Instagram is taken over by Facebook but keep the additional extra apps for no reason strictly for Facebook. The only new addition that this app gives you is you can put your own status, which is not worth downloading a whole app for.
