Really nice, feels a pretty nice niche for people like me, only complaint I have now is that you can't save pictures or videos yet, forcing you to redownload the Instagram app and breaking aqay from being able to use Threads standalone

I hate looking at the Instagram feed. I am more of a Snapchat person but only a couple of my friends use it anymore so with this app i can still communicate with my friends, who are all on Instagram, while maintaining a more Snapchat like interface. I wish they would just use Snap but this is the best I can do. Especially because my phone is slow, having to open the Instagram app and let the feed load before opening DMs wastes so much of my time and distracts me from what i actually want to do (talk to my friends). And leads me to try (and fail) to get my friends to message me on a different app. But with threads they can keep using the IG app they love and i can keep messaging them and posting stories without having to see the newsfeed that i’d rather not see and constantly makes my phone crash. The main IG app is so bloated and this app just narrows it down to what I actually want to use. There are a few problems that could use some work - but i still give this app 5 stars for what i like about it. First being the filters will often fail to load after scrolling through a couple within the camera. Also, I love reacting with various emoji to people’s dms but this app only allows hearts. Would like to see that expanded. Also, I think in the Threads section it would be nice to have your close friends’ stories at the top like in the IG feed. But for now I am fine to click on the profile pictures of my close friends to see their stories. But otherwise, love this app, hope it stays around but I have a feeling it’s an experimental thing that will be thrown out soon. I’ll be sad but it’s nice for now.

How do you log out or change accounts? al I am seeing is OLD tutorials on how to do it and no new ones I need help or i’m going to delete the app.
Stop blocking DM notifications from Instagram

As the title suggests, I absolutely hate that the app stop notifications from close friends on instagram, redirecting you to use the app. Some people might enjoy it but personally its too complicated for something that should have been simple. The status act is cool but the rest of the features I personally dislike. That being said the status feature should honestly just be implemented into instagram itself. I might download this again if theres an update that adds another option that would let me continue DMing and receiving notifications normally. For now I can’t ignore this huge flawz

hopefully they fix it soon but a lot of the new features in instagram aren't here yet. i started to use this app primarily for dming people but now its outdated and im kinda disappointed

I don’t understand why this feature can’t be included on the Instagram dms. I checked my “other” messages, my group chat’s messages keep disappearing & then our messages glitch & we’re all confused. Also, I can’t heart messages. Please fix this, I really don’t want to have to get rid of this app.

Great technology with the auto-censoring (cause it’s hilarious) and voice to text component. It’s clearly a Snapchat competitor but I’m not understanding why it’s a separate app...instead of just integrating this into Instagram?

It would be nice if you could use it with more than one account, ie a streamer could say they’re live or a business could say they’re having a sale. Also, make it available to people who aren’t on your clos friends list.

I love having a separate app for only my DMs, and including the equivalent of a “priority inbox” The day this app came out, it was feature for feature what Instagram had in the main app, but now the main app and this app have different things. Add feature parity and it will be 5 stars!! Or at least give me the long press to react with emoji!
