Unless you’re always updating your close friends list, or maybe wanna post something a little scandalous you don’t want your mom seeing, everything Threads is, is built into Instagram to begin with, and that’s where I see the app failing to take off. People want everything under one umbrella. So far Instagram has every major aspect of a successful social media app, and trying to off load the sharing aspect of social media to a whole separate app is just a bad idea. The camera sends whatever you snap directly to your close friends story, so you there’s no way to send anything to your main story. The whole point of this app is the close friends list. However, if for the very specific reason that you only want your close friends in one inbox, you’re going to love it, and it might make you value and use your close friends story.

Tbh this app is perfect but can y’all fix the things that when U call sumone u can leave that screen becuz I wanna text ppls while im calling sumone.

So a lot of people keep in touch with people on Instagram but may not like to be distracted by their feed and what not. Threads provides the option to strictly talk to people on your best friends list while being able to view their stories and post to your own. I have used Threads for a few months now and see room for improvement: Simpler layout Smaller visuals And ability to receive messages from anyone Are just a few things that could be improved or implemented. If it could be modeled more so like Facebook Messenger, then I feel like it would be more appealing.
It needs work.

I like the app. It let’s me go into my IG account and communicate with the people I care without getting distracted by the rest of mi IG. Unfortunately it’s extremely barebones. It would be great to have all the creative tools one has on the normal IG here. If that happens this would become my default messaging app. Honestly I hope they do something about it, right now it’s extremely limiting.

Threads app will not work I've u installed it and reinstalled it and whenever I click on the app to open it it want open up it immediately closes and goes back to home screen of my iPhone
