Slow with adds

I have been a member of the chive for years now and it’s gotten so bad lately!! So many adds on all the videos. Like a 30 second video has a 15second add it’s ridiculous. And really slowing everything down and causing the app to freeze l! Needs fixed! Want to love it again
The amount of ads

I used to really like this app and check it religiously. And I understand that ads are a necessary evil but they are getting ridiculous and very annoying. To the point I barely check the chive out anymore and just go on reddit or imgur.
Way Too Many ADS

I do not get on as frequently as I used to due to the locking up and the amount of ads. It kills my battery and is not worth the headache.

Well the Chive used to be a fun app to browse. Now it is full of annoying pop-ups that give no warning as to when they will interrupt you. I had paid $1.99 back in the day but now they are wanting $4.99 per month to be ad free. Guess I’ll stick to iFunny for the time being.

Will almost every time get flooded with adds. Then at certain times get stuck in an ad loop where I am required to close the app to end it

Lately app has been freezing a lot and what’s with having to watch a 15 sec ad to watch a 12 sec video.

Man being proud to kcco has really taken a turn. I understand there are bills to pay and you gotta keep the lights on but the bombardment of ads on this app is very disheartening. I was always under the impression the chive was a community. Now I feel like it’s an online casino. I will be removing this app and parting ways with the chive as a result. I don’t know if it’s just become about the money or there is some bigger picture I’m missing, but consider this my two weeks notice.

Been with theChive since almost the very beginning. They have made the app just flat out unusable with recent updates. You literally can’t go more than a few min without it freezing, so expect to restart the app, not exaggerating every 3-5min. It’s SO slow, regardless on WiFi or wireless, if you don’t pay $5, the ads outweigh any content 10-1. There’s a reason most, or almost all, of the most well-known/longest Chivers have completely left the site.
