Started good, but awful now.

I loved this group from the start, got some merch and everything. Loved the galleries and most of all the quick turnaround fundraisers. Now, this “probably the best app in the world” is literally the worst. Updated recently to “fix battery issues” but still drains it more than anything else I use. Beyond that, you can’t flip through a single gallery without ads popping up. I dealt with that for a while but now, an ad pops up and the ad brings up a website automatically, so now I have to close two things. I’m done.

The Community has changed

I used to check this app a couple of times a day. The community is incredible and I have done nothing but tell everyone I know how awesome the app is. However, with the introduction of noisy ads when MY PHONE IS ON SILENT has led me to no longer remain a part of the experience. I would check it in boring meetings but can’t now because there may be a loud advertisement and I can’t risk it or in bed at the end or beginning of a day but can’t because I’ll wake my partner up. I get it, the ads are there to finance the app so that we can enjoy the content. However, there are less invasive ads that will not lead to us getting fired. Please figure it out.

The app is absolutely not as good as it used to be. It constantly crashes and slows down. The ads don’t load and crash the app or lock it up entirely, requiring a restart. There are just far too many performance issues plaguing the app. I use it far less now than ever before simply because it has become tedious and annoying with the glitches. This is really a shame because the community and content is enjoyable when the app allows you access to it.

I’ve got to have my daily dose of Chive. But, since this last update, the app has been hanging then crashing on my iPhone 6s. I only get 6 pics into the DAR and it closes. I can’t have that. Do you expect me to work at work? Please fix so I can get my DMA and FLBP fix. Please!

Adds have gotten way too annoying

Still love the content but the adds have gotten way too annoying, constant pop ups and adds that take you to the App Store on a continuous loop. Half of my chive experience now involves me rage quitting the app after an annoying add keeps taking me to the App Store or a remote website. Fix the broken adds! I get it, you have to have adds to pay for the site, but at least give half a crap about which ads you let tap i to your app and weed out the annoying ones that break the app!

I love chive but I can’t handle how laggy the app is. I have fast WiFi and a new iPhone... why is everything so slow?? Please fix this

Turns off music

I like the site and the content that is posted, but the app automatically turns off any podcast, music, or book you listen to. I’ve stopped using the app due to this. Seems like an easy fix. Will probably start using again if they fix this. For now imgur it is.

I love the website, i hate the app. It crashes a lot. Links sometimes take you to their website instead of inside the app. Scrolling through pics freezes. Not worth the hassle.
