I USED to enjoy this app so much, then they got rid of the humor and pumped up the ads. I can’t even make it through a gallery without it crashing, what happened Chive?

Screen freezes when scrolling

I can only be in app for so long before I can’t scroll and the screen freezes. I have to close out the app and reopen hoping the gallery I can find the gallery I was in.

I have probably spent more time in the app store than the actual app from all of the pop up ads and being redirected here so much. I love the content but I cannot handle it anymore.. Please fix this I love what y'all do but this is more than annoying.

Couldn’t explore the app, ads popping up

I wasn’t able to explore the app at all. Ads would just pop up, be at the bottom of the screen, and make you wait 12 seconds to skip when watching a video. Terrible experience, deleted within 30 seconds from installing.

This is the worst functioning app I’ve ever used. It locks up or crashes after being within a minute or two after opening every single time I open it. With all the money these guys have you would think they would focus on this obvious issue judging by all the recent comments. It’s a shame, they have amazing content but the app itself is a wash.

I like the content which is why I gave 2 stars. That said, I have a hard time viewing the content because there are WAY too many ads. The pictures take forever to load (if they load at all) and sometimes the whole app just freezes. Crap app, don’t waste your time.

The Chive used to be the #1 app on my iPhone. Now it is arguable the worst app I have ever used. If it isn’t for the annoying and constant barrage of ads then it’s the total instability of the app. I can’t even make it through 1 gallery now without the app seizing up and crashing. The Chive used to be better than this, I hope that they can repair the glitchy app and tone down the in app ads. I understand that it’s a business and it takes money to run, but there has to be a better way.

I finally deleted your app, I don’t mind ads I don’t mind loading time and I don’t even mind the mistitled videos or articles that are often redundant. I mind having ads that won’t load stop me from scrolling every 2 seconds that I can’t make go away. I mind opening the app 3 times to get it to work. I mind an unresponsive app, that I can only get 5 seconds of enjoyment out of in a minute period.
