Ads galore and constant freezing.

You will constantly be bamboozled with ADs. Loud, uninteresting ads. The App constantly freezes forcing you to close and restart the app. I don’t know what happened to the Chive but it’s been going WAY down hill lately.

I like the content the chive updates constantly. However, when you can’t even view it because of pop ups that are impossible to close and BS ads that pop up every 10 seconds and only offer a small x to close makes it impossible to enjoy any longer. I literally can’t get through one album without being redirected to a safari page that just keeps opening no matter how many times you close it and go back to the app. Disappointed.

Chive always had little glitches - just close and reopen. NOW it freezes every single time. I don’t think I’ve been in more than 10 or 15 minutes before it freezes.

I love the chive. This is my go-to over Facebook. However, since the last update, the app freezes all the time for no reason while I’m in the middle of scrolling through galleries, video adds pop up all the time in the middle of a gallery, repeatedly, and at times, I’ll be redirected to the App Store for some random game download even though I never touched anything having to do with any ads. When I try to go back to the chive app, it just keeps going back to the App Store over and over again to a different game download each time and the only way to stop it is to close the app out. And closing the app isn’t even functioning properly. I double click the home button and swipe up to close it and when I click back on it, it’s still on the same page frozen. I have to close it again and wait at least 30 seconds to try and open it again. Please fix this issue. It is so frustrating and kills the battery even more than ever!

I had this app for the longest but over the last year have used it less and less. This company has become so money hungry that they went from pay it forward to filling what was once a great app to nonstop ads and pop up banners that fill the page without clicking anything. I can’t spend 10 minutes on this app without it redirecting to the App Store. And no matter what I click it takes me back to the App Store. I have to physically close the app to close ads and it’s ridiculous. You guys really are letting your fans down. Will have nothing but bad things to say about this app until the ads problem is fixed.

I love the content, have been using this app for a while. I’ve bought some shirts and have supported the Chive. The ads were annoying, but manageable. Lately though, I can’t use this app for more than 5 minutes without it freezing. It’s getting so frustrating that I don’t want to use it anymore.

Pointless to even open, after 4 pictures it starts redirecting to the App Store and every time you go back to the app it sends you right back to the store.

Ads, ads, ads. Turned a great app into something frustratingly unusable in my phone. Can’t scroll more than about 15 posts without it slowing down and freezing. Such a shame since this was one of my got to’s.
