ridiculous difficulty

this game resembles the path in a dark room, except much more difficult, to the point where you lose after ten minutes of gameplay. I don't recommend playing unless you're up for the challenges and frustrations this game can bring.

Frustrating yet addicting

I first played A Dark Room and immediately loved the the design and story so I decided to give this one a try. Its the same concept as A Dark Room except its more challenging.. I've died so many times where I just wanna throw my phone from frustration and then these taunting messages when you die.. Its a good game only thing I wish is you didnt have to completely start over when you die, A Dark Room was setup much better.

Super Value text based RPG

If you like well plotted and clever text based RPGs this is tremendous value for 99 cents. You'll get many hours of game play with no in-app purchases required.

Amirali Rajan Strikes Again

After playing and completing A Dark Room, which I also gave another five-star review, I hesitated to download this game, sure that a prequel wouldn't be as great as the original story. So far I've been completely wrong- The Ensign, which is vastly different than A Dark Room, annoyed me at first with its seemingly impossible style, but with the encouragement of red words and my paying more attention to my moves and actions, I've found that this game is just as wonderful as A Dark Room. The style is exactly the same, and the storylines different, but parallel. I've already been playing for over ninety minutes and it feels like only seconds have past. This game takes you into another world, just as A Dark Room does, and makes you cry, think, and feel. 11.5/10, would recommend. Don't give up! This game is well-wroth a few dozen retries and ninety-nine cents.
