I love the entire ‘The Athletic’ staff. The beat writers are 1st rate and give insight in the way us true sports fans like it. It’s a different perspective and they make you ‘think’ where it’s not groupthink as a fan or for those covering the teams. I love their fresh takes on everything.
Fantastic sports coverage

The Athletic has better sports coverage than any other app or website I’m aware of. Fantastic beat writers for all of my teams including auto racing, and I get to support them directly with a subscription fee rather than contributing to the ad-based attention economy. I’m very glad to be a member. I would like to see a revamped scores section, that is my only suggestion for improvement.

I am retired and read the Athletic as if it is absolutely mandatory. If I weren’t retired I would read the Athletic because it is essential to a sports fanatic like self.
