I recently upgraded my Ambit 1 to the Ambit 3 Peak as I wanted to be able to sync with my phone and use the app to modify changes since they were discontinuing the Movescount PC website in near future. I downloaded the Movescount app a while ago but it would not sync. The Suunto app did sync but am not able to use any of its features such as customization of display, route sync, or other essentials. I can upload data and view the routes but far from what the Movescount app slows from my review online. SUUNTO I am very disappointed. If you sell a watch, don’t discontinue the app that supports the functionality. Most Ultra runners consider the ambit 3 peak to be the pinnacle of watches Suunto has made including the 9. Support for the Ambit 3 peak through your Suunto app is paramount!

1. After months of release, I still have to completely reset connection to sync any activities. 2. Cannot program interval workouts via app or website. This is an essential feature for any watch that markets to endurance athletes. 3. This app and the website do not talk to each other. What the hell? The engineering side of Suunto makes a great product, but the rest of the company will make sure those great engineers will never get any credit.

Struggling with this app....I should be able to use my watch and not the app to record activity, but the app doesn’t let me add different sports/activities to my watch so I am forced to record from the app. Lame. Not sure if it matters (can I use the hiking mode to record cross country skiing??) but why have the different modes if it didn’t matter. Anyhow the app was a pain in the butt to move from Movescount. I luckily was a brand new user and had nothing saved but I read a lot of reviews that said they lost all of their data. Hopefully Suunto makes the app better for Traverse owners!

Terrible App take your watch back!!!

This is app isn’t even completed! I lose sync with my watch constantly, never uploads watch activities. Suunto get your stuff together. I am going to return my watch and buy a Garmin. I don’t see any of these menus they describe and show when I have the app opened. I have downloaded and updated the app for the last 3 months and haven’t seen any improvement. Did all their developers quite?

Heart Rate not showing in detail...

I recently switched from the old app to good one. I was surprised to see the detail of the heart rate, from my workout, did not show like in the old app. I liked seeing the change in my heart rate during the different parts of my session. The rest of the app works flawlessly.

Issues with sync

Can’t seem to get the app to sync with my traverse. Tried all the ideas in the help section but still can’t seem to sync. Phones an iPhone and the older app worked fine. Not sure what’s going on. Also the app worked fine on my Samsung phone I use to have.

I cannot get this app to sync my activities from my watch to this app. I do not know how to pair my smart sensor with it, and cannot figure out how to pair it. I have tried contacting customer support to no avail.

Used to work, not well, but worked. Not able to sync anymore

Added: 1/11/2020. This app is unusable for Ambit 3. One of my personality flaws is stubbornly trying broken things over and over again so this is wasting a lot of my time. My very frugal husband has even suggested just getting a new watch. That’s how bad this is. I have been unable to sync my ambit 3 for over a month. Really frustrating

Worked... well... not fine, but worked on my iPhone 6S. Upgraded my phone, just cannot get it to sync. Devs: let me know when this is fixed, will revise my review
