Doesn’t sync activities anymore

AppalachianHiker

Since the most recent update, it will not sync any activities from my Ambit3 Peak anymore. Very unstable and always seems to have issues.

Terrible app

DavZzee

I have the Traverse Alpha. This app is awful. Suunto should be embarrassed to have released such a useless app. I have all the problems that the other users have documented in their reviews. I love the watch and all the features but the connectivity, compared to their competitors products in this market, is ridiculous.

Mostly works - infuriating when it doesn’t

SkyrimNyanTrollPony

This app will mostly succeed at syncing workouts with Suunto and other services. The two-star rating is for when it fails. There’s nothing actionable to understand why it failed. Is it the Suunto backend? A third-party integration issue? Bluetooth connectivity? Who knows! Today, it won’t sync a move that’s in the logbook on my watch. No actionable feedback. Update 12/19: today it wouldn’t recognize my watch without unpairing and repairing. Why? Who knows. App doesn’t tell me anything useful.

Only can handle 1 workout a day now

BirdBirdBirdBirdIsTheWord

I have tried to call support and submit tickets with ZERO response, so there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE from Suunto. The most recent update can only handle 1 activity. A couple times a week I do a run followed by a weightlifting or strength session, my run the first of two activities uploads but not the second. I have done hard and soft resets on my watch, deleted and reinstalled the app and had to re-synch all my activities and the days since the new release that I 2 workouts back2back only the first activity uploads. I can’t get any support and this watch is 9 months old. If you are looking at this before a purchase spend the money on a Garmin or Polar. Maybe they actually provide service.

Nerfed my Ambit3

Chris Henn

I have an Ambit3 Peak. After switching from Movescount to the Suunto app, I found that I can no longer edit sport modes on my watch or add workouts configurations. And now, there’s no way to switch back. My expensive watch has less features then the day I bought it.

Suunto app is garbage!!!

Daddyn23

Suunto app is garbage! I am using the Ambit 3 and love it, I was using movescount prior to the switch to Suunto app. My activities have yet to sync to Suunto App. I have followed all the troubleshooting strategies offered by Suunto with no success. So I ended up uploading my activities to Movescount.com via Macbook pro and from there Suunto App would update but even that stopped working a week ago. I am going back to movescount for now.... if Suunto app is not resolved I will have to look into Coros or Garmin.

Not for Ambit or Traverse

Tony simple guy

The synchronization takes a really long time. The biggest issue for me is that Suunto app can’t create workouts or edit sport modes like Movescount used to do. This makes the watch very unusable for training. Ambit and Traverse. I will consider switching to garmin if this is not resolved shortly.

Epic Fail Syncing & Features

The REALEST Reviewer

Movescount had so many more mobile options for the Ambit 3 Peak. This has been a HUGE downgrade. Suunto App won’t even sync with Ambit 3 Peak and continues to try to sync old activities that were imported from Movescount. Support has been a joke, “unpair and repair your device” is not working and they keep telling me this over and over. I’m forced to sync via Movescount on desktop which works great and syncs with my Strava account perfect from there. Why not merge the features of Movescount and Suunto app? I get the branding switch but at what cost? The current Suunto app is like trying to be Strava or Athlinks or something... I don’t get it. Nobody needs Suunto leaderboards because not everybody uses a Suunto watch. That’s why Strava and similar services exist... The app might look nicer than Movescount but functionality should always take priority over design. BIG FAIL so far with this Movescount to Suunto App transition.

Ambit3 Peak not snycing

TimeToSwitch?

Suunto Ambit3 Peak synced with Movescount app for years without issue. Switched to Suunto a few weeks ago. Movescount upload to Suunto app was started and completed without issue so I deleted Movescount. Watch will sync with Suunto app enough to see there are 17 workouts to be uploaded. It starts to sync and goes through all 17 workouts but stays that “17/17 workouts did not sync.” Called Suunto support who took my info and said that they’d look into it and get back to me. It’s been weeks without a reply and still the Suunto app syncing seems to not work. Anyone else have this issue? Anyone care to share a fix?
