this app needs some serious work

it’s impossible to get cast for events, i swear. you have less than 10 minutes to say you’re interested and if you miss that narrow window, your rating goes down. why punish users for the app’s flaws? does everyone over at surkus really believe we’re sitting here patiently awaiting a notification? get real; there’s more to life than listening for a phone alert from this underdeveloped app.
Some issues, but I’ve had success

Missing notifications hurts your Reliability Score. So not getting the notification at all and then penalized is pretty unfair. There was a check-in issue at one event that could have been handled better (we had to check-in manually with the Ambassador and it was a mess), but outside of that one time, the 2 other events I’ve been to were great! I even got paid for the best event so far. So much food and two tokens for beer. SO MUCH FOOD. And free tees & totes. In general the events have lots of decent swag. My least favorite thing are the Amazon product reviews. I can’t see myself overhyping products and inflating reviews. So I decline those pretty often. But since I live in NYC proper, I'm hoping that I’ll start to be given more actual events, paid or free.

I've had so much fun attending Surkus events! I only gave it 4 stars because at first I will say I was very frustrated with the app. I got it in the beginning of summer and would get invited to events that I would NOT get casted for. It must have been about 5 or 6 events I did not get casted for. I was so upset I was about to delete it. But something told me to just wait and hold on. After bout a month I decided to change the pics I had and wahhhhlaaa! I started getting invited to tons and events and getting casted for all of them! I've had so much fun my first event was a beer tasting event (I love beer!) so it was awesome for me! 3 hours of unlimited beer tasting with a plus 1! Me and my bf had a blast! The next 2 events was a food tasting event and another free beer event that we got paid for! I was hooked! I invited my bf and he became a meme we too. This past Halloween weekend we went out everyday to upscale clubs that would run you about $30 a pop to get in! In some of these amazing Manhattan venues including rooftops it had an hour open bar! I feel it's an awesome app if you like to go out for free! To me it's not really about making any money even though there's a $5 or $10 events here or there it's about being able to experience new venues that I would NEVER have thought about going to not knowing anybody and having to pay ridiculous club prices. Me and my bf have so much fun if you are over 21+ this is the best app to have to PARTY for FREE! NYC nightlife is soooo expensive so being able to save on a cover charge is priceless to me!! If we don't like it we can just leave! When you pay for a venue and it's not what you expected you can not get a refund and you feel trapped to stay and try and enjoy yourself because with you and a partner it s around $60 just to step inside! Forget that surkus has changed our life! We love it!
Always on location?! NO!

Change your locations services requirement. Always on is not acceptable and the battery drain is insane.

I’ve had horrible experience with this App and the people who are running the verification processes. First of all they haven’t paid for two campaigns that I was cast for and completed in time. Secondly the team who run the verifications is completely out of loop on the requirements for the campaign and the receipts they need to verify a completion. On top of it all, the customer service reps are very rude. SO not worth the measly $5-10 they offer you. Deleting this App now !

Get paid to experience events, venues, products = getting paid to have fun!! Just follow the steps (all easy) and submit your review by the deadline, then watch your account fill up. Love it!
