Great program and app

Philistine too

I’ve been using StrongLifts to supplement my running training for two plus years now and I love it. I feel much healthier and am less injury prone when lifting. The app is perfect to just keep track of things, and doesn’t bog me down with too many unwanted features.

For some reason the screen is always on when using the app - the display doesn’t sleep. I’m not sure if it is a recent bug or that it has always been like this? Perhaps an update that would allow the screen to sleep but still allow notifications. My iPhone X shows 11% battery utilization due to the screen remaining on. Update: Developer states this is intentional. If I'm wearing an apple watch the notification doesn't come up unless the screen is off. I should at least have the option to enable the always on feature. Update 2: Developer insists that always on is a great feature. OK, great. I have paid for the full version of the app and want a setting to disable always on. I don't want to hear that everyone wants it, and that's the way it is. That is NOT customer service. It should sleep and then send a push notification after 90, 180, and 300 seconds. On the positive side, they have stated that an apple watch app is in the works. Also, still would love an Apple Watch app.

Wish I could modify programming

Stay AWAY!!!!!!

Give it 4 stars 'cause what it does it does better than anyone else! But I'm 49 with bad shoulders and just can't hit squats with the required frequency the default programming requires. Wish this app gave you the ability to modify core lifts (type and weekly frequency). If it did this I would give it 5 stars for life!

5 Star app up until it started crashing one set from completing a workout. Love it, but unusable right now.

Get it now. 6 months in, results are real. Gained 35 lbs of muscle. Eat Normal, Sleep Normal, Stick to the plan. Your results may vary. But you WILL see a change. Thank you 5x5 crew. Here’s to the next 6 mos.
