Great concept, poor execution

H8Updates

I was really excited to download this app so I could challenge friends with other devices on steps, however this app repeatedly told me that I already had a duplicate account and wouldn’t connect to my Fitbit. Finally on the fourth try it connected, but then never would sync with my app/Fitbit. I tried everything from restarting my phone, uninstalling and re-installing the app, to changing the settings in my Fitbit app. Nothing. I finally just uninstalled the app.

Stridekick is super fun!

It was easy to download and get started. Installing and authorizing Stridekick to pull data from my Garmin app and tracker was painless. Creating a steps challenge was only a few clicks and getting others to join in was easy enough! Stridekick really helps me stay focused on my walking and adds a little competition amongst family and friends.

I can’t give a proper review until I’ve had a good chance to use it ??‍♀️

Samsung not supported ?

SDALeader

I got this to invite ALL my friends! The first friend I invited has a Samsung gear frontier fitness tracker and his isn’t supported. Very sad. I hope this is updated soon because this looks like a great app!

3.5 with a positive lean to 4.0

Love the compatibility between devices. Nice smooth app with lots of options. Some could use some touch ups and/or tweaks to improve but overall a great app that I hope they continue to improve on and add to. Best multi wearable app I’ve come across.

Good platform for virtual team events

Momisant

Great concept because it allows my team with different devices to report to the same dashboard . But it seems to have issues in accurately reading the data from Apple devices which is a bummer .

Can't find friends to connect with.

AlyssaSummer

The whole point of this app is to connect with friends. There is no way I can add people without searching their name or username. I want to be able to see who already has an account by clicking on my Facebook friends. Not good.

Great app. Needs a little tweaking.

I love the idea of this app. Myself and friends have been using this app for a few days and here is what we think. Pros: -many challenges!! -Great that you can set a challenge with a map to follow virtually. -great that all your friends can join no matter what tracker they have. We have friends with fitbits, garmins, and apple watches. iPhone and computers to sync. Cons: -it's hard to find friends on the app. We had to text our sign on to each other. -when you get a friend request you get an email but nothing shows up in the app it's self. If you want to authorize it from the app you have to know their sign on. - chat in challenges is neat, but you don't know someone posted anything unless you open chat. A notification from the app would be nice. - status of an ongoing challenge, it would be nice if you would add notifications when someone passes you or adds steps without having to open the app and check. - notifications are listed in the app but don't actually push out to the phone. - could you make it possible to see friends progress in the map too? It would be neat to see where everyone else is too. The app is good like it is and we are enjoying it. If these few things were fixed/updated this would be the perfect 5 star app.

Good app

It's a really good app to challenge friends that have different fitness bands, it does need some improvements to make it 5 stars.

Lots of Potential

Garzasays

I had high hopes for this app. I have friends who use a variety of trackers and this was gonna be the way we all compete. While we can all compete this app has some major shortcomings. -In Journey mode, they use a map to show your progress, but the map only shows your progress. That seems like it shoulda been a common sense add. -The app focuses too much on social features. I get the intent but for all thats lacking in the app It seems that attention could have been used elsewhere. -They allow you to win badges but only when you do challenges in the community (open to all). So challenges with friends mean nothing. This means that if you and your friends start a challenge and you win... The only place to see that is to open up that challenge. It does not track it on your profile. This app has soo much potential, but it seems the developers are more concerned with providing a Facebook like experience for a half-baked fitness app. BOTTOM LINE: If you want to run challenges between friends on multiple trackers, your options are limited and this is worth a shot, but go in with very low expectations or prepare to be underwhelmed. Hopefully it can only get better from here, I really want this app to be good.
