I enjoyed playing this one, I am generally not that good at this sort of game, so found it plenty challenging, LOL . . . I have managed to increase my "best" scores it does help to use a little strategy :D

Fun game! I can only describe it as a turn-based-exploratory-strategy-tower-defense-pirate styled game with a great art style. Added layers of customization (like varying first mates) work well with the overall medals scoring system, increasing replayability. A fun little game for fans of any of the above genres.

Game is boring. Even a 9+ game could be more interesting and challenging. I played 3 levels and the whole time u are merely hitting squares and finding towns. That's it. then ur supposed to guess where the pirate ship is so you can arm more heavily a certain town. I can never find the ship. That's it. why Riven is not out ahead of these games I can not understand.

Fun as all get-out, but when I try to continue a game, it crashes to the home screen. WHY?!? wahhhhh!!!! Please fix. (Yes, I rebooted after installing).

I've been looking forward to this for a while. It's ok. Cyan says it best when they call it casual. I would not call it a turn based strategy because you're not taking turns against someone, you're just clicking and searching. if you want a top score you can just play a level over and over again and memorize where things are. Was hoping for more. Also, I'm not sure me and me crew can take the emotional devastation of having survived an onslaught by the dreaded Poseidon's Pearl only to have our smoldering port besieged by a mobile tiki head.

I wasn't sure at first, but once you get past the tutorials (which are well done, with humorous humor) and start actually playing, it's pretty good! A lot of fun and easy to get into. Art is fantastic! Great art style choice :)

If you like simple strategy games, this is for you. Don't get put off put of by reviews that either don't like strategy or only played three levels expecting something else. If you can't find the ship, then you are not paying attention and probably shouldn't be playing a game like this where you actually have to think.

Best way I know how to describe it! I love this game! I love Cyan Worlds! They're both great! An extra 6th star for that nod to the Myst series! Keep it up guys, can't wait till iRiven! (And the Myst: BoT movie!) *note - Reboot your device before play or it will crash. I had this problem, you must reboot.*
Need more variety.

I love everything about the game but not the variety. Chapter two is the exact same as chapter one? What is the point of having different chapters if they are the exact same? And only two kinds of monsters and one kind of pirate ship. And one battle system and no mini games what so ever. This game has some of the best art I have seen but no variety at all. I love the concept and the art is awesome. I have had no crashing problems. But this game is in need of lots more variety. Mini games and more variety in battle system. It gets a bit rinse and repeat. I plan on finishing the game and don't regret my purchase as this game has some good charm to it. I really hope you add more variety into the game and if you do I will gladly give 5 stars.
